Default Radiator fans not coming on with link plus

Okay, my car likes to over heat it seems. I went for a short drive today and got the engine temp upto 110c. my fan on is set to 90c and I cant seem to get the fans to come on. They were running on the stock ecu. Engine temp is in red, so I know the software sees the warning. Any ideas?

Are you sure the wires are correct? Do you have B134 pin 3 hokked up to B12 on the Link?

Ill have to go check, but I have the Plug and play harness from AMR.

Checked the harness. Looks like the white/red wire (fan) goes to b134 #3 (right next to injector 4)

Any other ideas?

Tested the white/red wire with a small test light and a 9v battery. the fan wire connection through the harness appears to be working.

I'm not sure how your test light was hooked up. I presume you had one end on a 12V wire (from battery or ignition relay), and the other on the fan wire at the harness? The test light should be off when coolant temp is below the trip point, and on when coolant temp is above the trip point. The voltage at this wire will be high when off, and near 0V when on (it's "backwards").

If it passes this test then you have a wiring problem in the car harness. Maybe you disconnected the connectors at the fan(s)?

My next suggestion, and then I would check/swap relays to make sure they're still working.

No, no it was just running through the the plug and play harness. Ie the ~12" long bit. Just thinking there might have been a bad connection there or something. FWIW the fans still work when the factory ECU is hooked up.
