If you were to remove the passenger seat for a racing seat the seat belt chime will go off when ever the car is running. I personally feel weird if I'm in a car and there is not a seat belt on me but there are people out there that never wear them.

I take my seatbelt off when I get onto my street in my neighborhood, or sometimes when I am parking in a lot. I want always want to stab my dashboard to death. Hopefully this works on 09+ Foresters.

Ever sit in your car and listen to the radio while you wait for someone? Or hop out to get the mail or put the trash can out while the car is running? Enjoy 6 loud beeps every 15 seconds.

Thanks for the video/ reminder on how to do it.

I feel that instead of a chime for not wearing your seatbelt, a fist should come through the dashboard and punch you in the face 6 times, every 15 seconds.

Usually they're either young or uneducated. It's no coincidence that young drivers (ages 16-25) are most likely to not wear seatbelts and also most likely to die in car crashes. It's that brash mentality of "I'm awesome and won't get hurt in a crash" or "I don't care because I'm a rebellious kid".

Cool. It's really annoying when I toss my laptop or camera bag on the passanger seat and the thing won't stop chiming

What the hell was Subaru even thinking when they decided that the seat belt chime should start before the car is even running...

I just unlocked my car, my keys are still in my hand, let me put them in the ignition and have the car do its sweep, so I can buckle my seat belt without having to hold on to my damn keys! #firstworldproblems

My best friend hates riding in my car because of the chime. He's been trapped in a car by the seatbelt before and has serious issues with wearing one now. I always wear mine, but I'm not going to make a grown man wear a seatbelt if he doesn't want to.

Thanks for the video.

Hey I have an idea. How about you wait to take your seatbelt off after you park?

Holy ravioli, who knew it was so simple?
