The local cops around here are amongst the worst in the country. The other day i turning right out of a business to get back on the street, this prick cop is going the other direction. He sees me turning out and immediately breaks the law and u-turns across the double yellow line to start following me too closely.

I kept it 1 mph under the limit with that dickhead tailgating me for .. half an hour. Eventually he gave up and went away. prick. I should have stopped and got out and yelled at him. citizens arrest for the traffic laws + harassment.

Last time I got pulled over with my RS years ago over the state cop who was real cool said "yeah my buddy's got a WRX and they can really get moving. just slow down a bit & have a good day."

we don't really have the ricers around here, i don't think i've ever been revved at.

Im always gettin grilled by cops in my Wrx, but never in other peoples cars.. Although it is loud (I mean its a Subaru, ***** I ain't gone be quiet, it's a racecar) , they tend to stare, follow me for like a few blocks, then go away, or pull me over once for "not knowing how to drive stick", meanwhile because I was with my friend going to a senior BBQ at 3 in the morning lol, they probably wanted to search the car for drugs.. They only mess with us because there's no other crimes out there so they think our exhausts r such a major crime n they find the need to pull us over

Haha youre hilarious.

I thinks thats the first time anyone has made that joke.

But seriously, I do have stock exhaust and drive fairly conservatively.

County, but ya. Nothing ever happened. They went on to ride another day. There's a meth problem around here, and the one without a helmet looked like he was trying to bite his ear off. So ya.. deathwish..

Cops never, random douche nozzle drivers are the norm.

I dont drive in a manner that attracts attention to myself. Must be the front lip, cat back and ra mud flaps lol. Or the assumption that because i drive a wrx i should be down to street race or i am interested in watching idiots drive like idiots.

I had a diesel try to "smoke" me once. You know where they rev or down shift and that big puff of smoke comes out. Luckily I saw and heard what he was trying todo. I rolled the window up and I turned to go to my gym. Saw a big puff of smoke in my rear view mirror! Loser.

I expected a lot more trouble when I got my car. Fortunately I've never been pulled over, so the cops don't bother me much except with an occasional tailgaiting.
I've lived in some decent areas, so other people haven't been an issue either with the exception of 2 drivers. First was from a newer ralifart during my break-in period. It was some dumb kid who revved at me, cut me off and kept flooring it at every light, trying to lean as far back in his seat as physically possible. Second instance was on a 2 lane road (one lane in each direction), and a guy in a nissan joke managed to tailgate me for a good 5 minutes. I didn't budge since I was going the speed limit and there wasn't anybody else behind him. Other than that, just civic/cavalier kids admiring.
Exterior is basically stock, exhaust is a bit loud.

I've never been pulled over by a cop in this car. I do have assclowns that feel the need to **** around with me on a pretty regular basis though.

Never had any trouble with police I didn't deserve. 1 speeding ticket in 3 years I've had the rex. 82 in a 65. Wrote the ticket for 70 in a 65 so I can't complain. Only 3 people that I can think of have tried to race me. I see the occasional Honda revving his **** but honestly I see more wrx/sti revving their ****. Seems like the drive thru is the place to do this. Guys gotta blip their throttle 6 ****ing times to creep forward 10 feet cuz they're all koo and ****

Rollin coal!

I've never been bothered by anyone. But then again all my vehicles run quiet exhausts, dont have many flashy aesthetic changes and I rarely exceed the speed limit.

Most of the people I know that get harassed by cops or other drivers bring it upon themselves through the way they drive. I do notice a high percentage of the guys around town driving wrxs/STIs do drive like pricks. Maybe that is why some of you guys get bothered, because of all the other wrx drivers with poor driving etiquette.

Never have problems with the police or highway patrol. I have no tint, stock exhaust, but I do not run a front plate. So far, so good. As far as drawing others attention, I do get a little more attention than my previous car, but I would not classify it as trouble. It's just the typical pull up next and rev or a flyby. I just ignore it.

You never hear people talk about all the times the people commit traffic violations that are never seen or the times police were nice and did not give a ticket when they legally could have, and just gave people a warning or lesser ticket. people always seem to blame others and never take responsibility for their own actions. There may be some instances where the police made a mistake, but is usually in the public's favor. So have a verry Merry Christmas and be thankful for your blessings because you can always find someone going thru worse times than yourself...

never problem w anybody in Canada...at the most other damned subaru drivers revving or flying past me...ive had enough cops all around me and never been bothered. i bought the wrx from a cop anyway... my setup is stage 2. but i toned my exhaust down a bit with an extra resonator. its quiet at idle but nice when driving.

I've been pulled over twice for going 5mph over the speed limit. Got a warning each time (bored cops). My 9-2x is kind of a sleeper so i don't have much of a problem with other drivers.

Knock on wood, I rarely get pulled over which is surprising considering I drive a bright red widebody. On the other hand, I get harassed by every seventeen year old flat brimmer on this side of the continent because my car looks like a rice box. A clean, stickerless rice box... but it's definitely not your typical cookie cutter.

I do drive like a saint the majority of the time.

I get absolutely no attention in my car from cops or other drivers, which is probably a good thing though a bit disappointing on occasion.

as long you dont make you subbie look too hot or sexy you should be fine.
i choose black wrx because the hood scoop gives away if it's another color. so i look like another regular economical citizen lol...

No hoodscoop + wagon + easily noticeable trailer hitch + stock-looking exhaust = invisible to everyone

This. In two months, I've only had a spirited drive with an Si, and that was during the break-in period.

to the untrained eye, our cars are just grocery getting economy boxes. so yes, there are a lot of a-holes out there that will tailgate and just be overall douchy.

the best is merging on the highway. zoooom!
