I've actually never really been harassed by other drivers. Occasional downshift flybys by ricers but that's really it.

I don't think I have trouble with cops, but it does get more attention I think, which will then cause cops to notice something illegal. I ran no front plate for 2 years with last 2 cars, xjr, m45, nothing from cops. Got Sti, and was pulled over twice in first week for it. Although, they never mentioned 5% tint when pulled over for front plate. Now it's all legal, too old for that ****

I've had my '12 WRX hatch (completely stock) for about 4 months and I mostly get harassed with sports bikes. I purposefully try to keep my windows closed on the freeways during traffic because I'm tired of sports bikes revving really high once they drive by my car.
I feel like though with every car I've owned I've gotten harassed one way or another (mostly with other drivers; not cops). Funny thing is I felt less harassed driving my evo viii than I did with my 528i and 328i lol. What is it with normal looking bimmers? |

I ride sportbikes... and in a manner.. Well lets just say beyond what people would consider "reasonable". I have noticed that there are far too many a-holes that want to be mayor of safety town. Its highly anoying. The worst thing Ive had happen in the WRX is some D bag cut me off and wouldnt allow me to pass him on a two lane 35 MPH throughte city of Akron. I got highly annoyed and let my temper pull me into a conversation at the next stop light. The guy asked " what makes you think you own the road?"/ I told him I was just trying to get to work and dealing with his frustrations in that manner is a good way to cause harm to others as wel as his dental work.
I cant help the weak and powerless - I can only make them self aware. Road rage is a symptom of an inferiority complex and I see "big men" and "big women" all the time who think using their 4000 lb vehicle is acceptable to control traffic. When youre on a 400lb sportbike and you see this.... Ugh!!! I have follwed people all the way home to have little talks with them.... Not so big when they get out of their cars. LOL. |

Yea but when it's only u and a cop right next or behind each other, and u get off into 1st gear in a Subaru or any loud car, they look, keep looking, look harder, grill the **** out of you, then "woop woop".. Makes a brother nervous lol

Cops for sure for me. 24, never been pulled over... until I got my WRX. In my '95 L and '98 OBS, no one ever took a double glance at me.
I was actually going to do a photoshoot with a friend, but got gas first. I didn't want to pull out into this road that was full of construction, so I went the opposite way, into the projects a bit. Stopped at a four way stop sign, saw the cop, and came to an absolute complete stop, then made a right. Sure enough, the lights go on. Apparently it was a one way street.. I seriously didn't see it. Ok, fine, my bad. Nope, cop says I'm 'on something'. Over and over. He makes me get out of the car, calls backup and three other cars show up. I get patted down, have to do field sobriety tests, and he goes all through my car (I allowed him, nothing to hide). He also kept saying he was going to have to take me to the local hospital to have a blood test done. After about 20 minutes they let me go with not even a ticket.. he just told me to "Get the **** out of here."... All the while I was very compliant, even a bit intimidated to be honest. Do I think it was the car?... Yeah, probably had something to do with it. It definitely was the area too.. he most likely thought I was going to buy drugs there or something. |

and as you stated other people should do, please apply your own advice to yourself and watch your temper. Think about if you saw someone tailing you home. I imagine you would do one of two things, either stop and get in their face or speed off/drive aggressively to get away.... both only compound the problem and make things less safe. Think about that next time you try to follow someone home to give them a chat because if they are a hot head too they'll be thinking of doing the same things.... edit: just a word of caution for your safety. Your bike= you in plain view, no room to carry weapons... A car= room for 5 people and lots of room for other "amenities"... one day you might bite off more than you can chew and end up being the one getting the "dental work" as you so calmly and non-aggressively put it.... Cops just love messing with us. Nothing else to say, whether it's a bike or car.

-Had a sport bike dowshift and fly off when his exhaust was right next to my window. It about blew my ear drum because my window was down. He kept slowing down and doing it over and over. I think he wanted to race.
- I was on a 2-lane country road and some Mazda (speed6 maybe?) tailgated me then proceeded to honk, and then pass me on a double yellow on a blind curve. Oh yea he turned off about 500 feet after he passed me . I was going 5 over the limit. This is all within a year of owning my WRX. I used to drive a Corolla and people just seem to act way more aggressive when I'm in my WRX (even though I drive like a granny). |

My car isn't quiet and is probably faster than most cars here and I've been pulled over exactly never in it. Y'all might want to take a look in the mirror and examine your driving habits and why you're getting as much attention as you are. |

I have more trouble withe kids in diesel lifted trucks driving like asshats and getting pissed at me for driving a fast car doing the speed limit. Summer time is worse because when I have my windows down they will try and smoke you out.

08 wrb sedan with gold wheels. I don't get too much attention from cops actually. All my other cars were worse. Most Subaru drives don't drive around like an idiot the whole time . Plus the exhaust sound difference helps from us to a civic.

Definately both. I drive a 98 coupe lowered on tein coilovers which isn't super common around here. Bright red with goldies doesn't help at all either. Cops take the cake though ive been pulled over at least twice for zero reason at all and another 2 times where everyone (including myself) was speeding by about 20. Just I got picked out of course.
