Question How many mountain bikers in MD or So. PA

Any mountain bikers out there? Want to meet up for a group ride? Fast, slow, technical, or easy. I'm more of a XC rider, and usually ride at Avalon, Mckeldin, Loch Raven, Whitetail (a few times). I'll drive to Frederick, lots of great trails I hear.

Vinman, I ride XC. Used to do it quite regularly (twice a year to Moab for the last 5 years). But I haven't been on my bike all summer. I wouldn't say no to a ride up at Patapsco or Schaffer Farms sometime.

Any weekend (well almost anyway) just let me know, e/mail me or post here. I've never been to Schaffer Farms. What's it like?

Its pretty fast flowing singletrack through woods and cornfields. One of my favorites.

Lets go! This weekend maybe? Lately I've only been riding once or twice a week so don't feel bad about not being on your bike in a while.

Anyone else out there want to meet for a ride?

This weekend might be kinda tough. I'm painting the outside of my townhouse Saturday, I have a TSD on Sunday and an autox at Summit Point Monday. I might be able to pull something off though. Check back here during the weekend.

Cool

That's alright, snoopy responded on the general forum and can't make it for this weekend either. Almost any other weekend is ok for me except for last weekend of sept (last of my friends getting married) and second weekend in oct (celebrating 3rd anniversary).

Heeellll Yes! This weekend? What's your preference: Avalon? Loch Raven? Trails in Fredneck (frederick) county?

I've been riding on the road because of the condition of the trails after all this rain and I've run out patience being swerved at and cursed at by rednecks in pickup trucks so I'm more than ready to head back into the trails, excessive mud or not! Lets go.

Hey vin we do some biking but the other day the wife wiped out and got messed up when she hit the edge of a curb. She flew over the handlebars and busted her face, arm, leg and shoulder up pretty bad .Shes ok though after a doctor checkup and some pain killers.she wasn't wearing a helmet but the way she hit it wouldn't help the way she landed. But if it was harder she could have hit her head.so for now on she will be wearing a helmet

Unhappy

Always wear a helmet! There's no excuse for not wearing one. And don;t be cheap and by the crappy helmet, believe me its worth the money.
I hope your wife heals fast. Give her my regards. BTW, scrapes, bruises, pain killers....she's been "christened" by the mountain bike gods.
My wife was "christened" by the roller blading gods last month. She made sure to wear a helmet, knee guards, and wrist guards. But that didn't help her hip any. A month later and its still tender.
