Default Bye Bye honda... Hello Subaru.... 2011 wrx...

Im officially official! its been sometime. its been about a year since i join and wanted a wrx....

so i sold my 02 rsx last month. i do miss it.... but time for bigger and better things....

Im 25 years old. driving that rsx gave me a kid factor i didnt like and that was the main reason why i wanted to sell it. so i did. lol. but honestly it looked so sexy to me though... but sadly that wasnt enough to keep me from selling it...

I kept the CE28N's and you where thats going.... muhaha.

i was originally going for a 04-05 sti. but then i found this beauty for just as much.... so decided on this instead because i honestly did want a newer car. was getting tired of almost 10+ year old cars... so i gave up the 04-05 sti and decided to go with this instead.... i no regrets!!!

photo credit to my cousin. hit me up for a shoot.

congrats on the purchase. kinda looks like my old one. just sold it couple days ago. someone got a steal for it. only had 56xx miles on it, still smelt new, no dings or dents and let it go for 22500.

The volks won't fit on it as the WRX has 5x100 lug size compared to the 5x114.3 on your RSX

I admit it, when I saw the title of this thread I was thinking "oh great ...".

But I must say, your Honda looked very nice.

It sounds like you plan to keep it simple for now, which is the right idea .. but I would definitely consider a stage 1 tune or AccessPort. The stock tune is not the best.

While I would consider the WRX a huge upgrade over a wrong wheel drive RSX, I hope you didn't truly get rid of a car you love because of what others might think. Some folks think of the WRX as a "boy racer" car and may stereotype you for driving it as well. If you like your car, just enjoy it and stop worrying about what others think. Congrats on your purchase!

o0o0o no0o0o.... what people thought had no impact on the decision i made. It was purely the fact that i felt to much of a kid driving it around and having all these high school kids stare and rev at me. it was cool and everything. lol. i just didnt like the "group" i was in... that being a bunch of high school kids and that i was already over the honda thing already. dont get me wrong i loved the car. just didnt float my boat the way it used to... and i can care less about what people think about me driving this car. i love it!

but, thank you!

A hatchback doesn't make you look like a kid? I sold my Evo X because I needed more room after having a kid so its funny I am looking at the hatch for a kid lol. Some might say the giant wing on the sedan would be a choice for a kid. But I think both sedan and hatch look great either way.

i never said because it made me "look" like kid. i do look like a kid though. lol.

again. i didnt like the "group" i was in, that being a bunch of kids....

i still want a fun car. therefor a wrx is more suitable for me minus the being grouped with a bunch of high school kids. i live in socal, jdm honda is all over socal along with a bunch of kids! its quite crazy. and it really sucks because having a honda here is cop magnet, especially modded ones...

While I see what you are getting at with Civic Hatches and CRXs being so popular with the young tuner crowd, the WRX hatch is technically considered to be a "station wagon". It is certainly the more practical choice (vs. the sedan) for adults who may have a lot of stuff to haul around.
