Hey guys,

I haven't quite gotten into my first Subaru but having just had my 300ZX totaled, I'm excited to join a new community. I'm hoping to get into an 02-05 Wrx wagon, any tips or advice for finding a good one are much appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome! The 02-05's were the 2.0L motors. The best thing to look for is how was the car maintained? Does the owner have maintenance records? A couple of things to be aware of is that Subaru's have a timing belt so If you buy one in the 100-110K mileage range find out if the Timing belt has been done. Also the 02-05's have a cat in the up pipe that is wise to remove if you start modding the car. Good luck on your search

Welcome! West Chester, PA here.

Best bit of advice I can give: try to find one without many mods, the fewer the better. Also, service records. People tend to beat on these cars. For every knowledgable person on here who takes the time to research, there are 10 guys who just slap **** on without knowing what it does or if its needed.
