FPHTA68 & DW750cc map, anyone?
Well, I just purchased a vehicle with a tune that makes me a little uncomfortable. It's running 20 pounds of boost in every gear, at a 10.0 WOT AFR on a 2007 wrx sedan, stock motor & trans.
I don't have money for a dyno tune, as I just dropped a ton on purchasing the vehicle several days ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It's mod list:
TurboXS front mount intercooler
TurboXS RFL blow off valve
ACT 6 puck sprung clutch
Walbro 255 lph fuel pump
Deatschwerks 750 cc injectors
Invidia up pipe
Invidia catted down pipe
Eibach lowering springs
SPT short ram intake
AEM wide band a/f gauge
Autometer EGT gauge
Autometer boost gauge
I don't care much about power at this point, I just want it to be safe. Thanks very much in advance.

If you are running that rich under WOT, I would have it checked for leaks, the tune might be fine.
Plug in your Accessport, and under the Live Data section, what does A/F Correction A, B, C, and D say? What does the Dynamic Advance Multiplier say?
Could you take a log with the Accessport and post it up?
I saw another post where you said Ptuning did the tune...did you mean Precision Tuning in Lakewood, NJ or Ptuning in Virginia?

What does the AEM gauge read at idle? In closed loop? I would compare the reading at idle/closed loop to the front o2 sensor (which can be viewed/logged via AccessPORT with the A/F Sens 1 Ratio monitor). As SkateAndDestroy mentioned, you can check your long-term fuel trims (A/F Learning 1 A,B,C,D) if you have had a good amount of driving since reflashing a map, resetting ECU or disconnecting the car's battery. Generally speaking, each of these trims should be within +/- 5% or so.

Get some logs and post them up. 10.0 AFR isnt motor ending, but that is a tad rich and can slowly harm motor components over time as unburnt gas ends up washing down cyl walls, which clears away oil and lets metal on metal abrasion occur slowly, scratching the walls . Even some reputable tuners wont go past 10.5 when tuning for a very rich mixture. The optimal range is around 11.1 for most Top mounts , even up to 11.4 with a FMIC because of how much cooler the charge is.
Listen to skatendestroy, he is an expert with tuning these 68HTA's.
