it's for the looks , but isn't a 5mm spacer on a adapter is a killer for the bearings , the safety , and my wallet ? and if i need those extra 5mm i may go for the 18x10.5 +15 and have a -10 offset , but will it look stupid ? , specially that i won't be slamming the cars because of the bumpy roads .
so what are the cons of having a -10 offset ?

I would not in any way run that setup on your Impreza.

The 25mm spacer/conversion is going to kill your wheel bearings. -10 is really low and will take a ton of work to make it look right, especially with the wheels only being 10" wide.

My suggestion is to save your money, get a nice set of wheels that fits your stock body with 5x100 and be happy.

Adding the flares and massive wheels on an Impreza TS with no turbo is going to make you sad, especially if you are not lowering it enough to make them look right.

i am glad that i got the reply from you , i was actually going to copycat your car with the Enkei's , so what wheels do you suggest to be wide enough to fit with the flares ? also where did you get the center console carbon part ?

mine were installed before i bought the car last year, but i think the front section of mine was left off because of the Cusco lip. either not wanting to notch the flare or not wanting to drill a hole in a perfectly good Cusco lip is my guess haha.

Man don't listen to the low offset crap, unless youre 5x100 LOL

5x100 bearings suck whale dick

I have 18x10.5-26 and the lip is flush with the flare.

So 18x10.5-10 with be fine.

Don't waste money getting the flares and get 18x10s cause it'll look stupid.

Anything 18x10.5/11/11.5/12 +22 or lower offset will work with 285/30,295/30,315/30.

So what you are saying is I can get 18x10.5 et20 and get 5x100 to 5x114 25mm spacer with 285/30 will work?

Yes I had 18x11+21 with 285/30s and 25mm spacers on top equalling 18x11-4 which worked out perfect.

Sell your impreza TS and with this extra money you are contemplating on spending for flares and wheels buy a wrx or sti. Trust me I've had a couple non turbo subies and they can be fun but not with 45lb tire and wheel setups. You'll want to invest that kind of money in something more enjoyable. Not trying to discourage you from getting the look you want just offering advice.

did misunderstand you , or you are saying that the bearings are bad but there is no problem with the negative offset and 25mm adapters ?

He is 5x100 with a base Impreza, not a WRX.

That's why I said it would take too much work to make them fit properly and safely. 18x10 -10 would look weird. On top of that adding spacers/adapters to make it 5x114.3 would be worse then just running a low offset 5x100 wheel. Those bearings are going to die a smokey death.

-26 is fine if you have 5x114.3 and the right wheel width to make it work.

if you don't care about being slow and blowing a wheel bearing on the highway run 5x100.

or convert to 5114.3 and do whatever size wheel you want.

but ya I agree about having 285s being too much for a non turbo car.

Do many of you have that slight gap between the flare and body/bumper on the rear side of the rear flares? Right near the section of the bumper where the oem flare would match up.

I've looked at several installs and all have had that slight gap. It does not sit flush to the body.

Are you talking about on a 04 sti like this? Because they were only made for the 05 sti.

These don't have a gap, maybe because I had a hand in installing them I don't know haha. My car also doesn't have a gap.
