Don't mind the mexi-poke; flares haven't arrived yet .

What size are the barrels, and what size are the lips. I am currently building a set of VS-XX's as well and have 6" barrels. I was thinking of running 5" lips in the rear and 4" in the front with 275/35/18 all the way around.

they are 18x11.5 +7 5" lips all around. 295/30/18 Hankook Ventus V12's i believe they are 6" barrels i never measured.

also if you plan on doing karlton flares; run a 275/30 35 is too tall

ok. those lips are insane, thus i will be buying some monday. Those would fit well with the flares. One thing i ran into with my flares is i had them painted without trimming the under lips. I recommend before you send them off to paint (if you are painting them), to cut the inner lips, so you dont run into a rubbing problem. The install of the rears is time consuming because of all of the cutting, so make sure you have plenty of brews.

I heard about the lip on the flares being too big; i plan on getting everything set up then taking the flares off and sending them in for paint. I need to restock on some Becks; i ran out.

Go up to outback and take a look at the lips on mine, they haven't been trimmed down yet

Just to confirm what was said above, 275/35/18 is way too tall for this setup/our cars. I had them on my RPF1s before I switched to the Advans. The 295/30/18 fit much better.

Definitely trim the lips on the flares. They're just there as it makes it easier to pop them out of the molds

And grammar apparently.

Damn molded looks good, still can't decide if its worth the money. Did they strengthen the flares at all?

Posted from my phone and auto-correct is a bitch lol.

They seem pretty damn solid. They are still riveted under the mold though

Very nice, looks mean!!
Where did you purchase your flares? I'm sure this is a very common question and I apologize, I just don't check out the Members Car Gallery that often. Also, what wing is it that you're running?
What hood do you have?

I'm not trying to be ignorant, but it looks like you will still rub with these on any bumps. Don't get me wrong I love the way they look but do you guys rub at all?

No you don't rub. There's like an inch worth of flare to trim if you run negative offsets or 295s< just trim the excess.

You do realize you clearance your stock fender right? Then add these on top. That gives you enough clearance for you to run pretty much whatever you want.

And how my car currently sits. Redoing a few things

how is the drivability with the 11's on 295's when it comes to turning, do the front wheels rub on the inner panels of the car at all? And what offset are those?

the offsets iirc are +5 and depends on the offset but yeah you might get some rubbing on the inner tubs on full lock.

Actually we found out he has +0 offset wheels. I have no rubbing at full lock at 11 +10 though I have 285s (that run wide)

Oh he posted 18x11+5 but okay lol and if anyone has 18x11 with a higher offset than +20 you will rub on full lock depending on your ride height.

So by me running 18x11 +22 with 285/30/18 I will rub under full lock? I plan on leaving a half inch of space between the flare and my tire.. Thoughts on this setup?

You need to lower the offset. Id go somewhere between +15 and +5
