Also "Packed snow" has been driven on and "packed" down, or has had more than one storm, creating surface compression and layer compaction... Just an fyi...

So... if it is 99% humidity and 30 degrees, you should bring a pulaski and a shovel.

On the flip side, it could be Utah fluff... the entire storm could be down near the mid 80%s in humidity and 5 degrees, which you can submarine through.

There are so many different possibilities when it comes to driving in fresh snow, but the higher those two environmental factors are, the harder it will be.

Now you know, and knowing the H% and degrees is half the battle...
Interesting, that why snow in the east is so problematic. Eastern Canada is always very humid.

Where I grew up in Maine, if there was less than a foot of snow it was business as usual. Not gonna lie, I don't mind being a ***** and calling out when it snows down here.

The funny thing is when Florida receive half a inch of snow, it's a major emergency. They get a hurricane, business as usual.

Different place...
