Smile New Pics of my WRX at Mondavi Vineyards in Napa Valley Wine Country

Hi all,

It was nice day yesterday, so I took my g-friend on a ride through the Napa Valley Wine Country. Here's a few pics of my WRX at the Robert Mondavi Vineyards--seemed to be the most popular one in the area. I'm not much of a wine drinker, so it was all Greek to me!

Hope you guys like 'em. Sorry, I'm not much of a photographer either! Although, I'm not sure why these pics came out so bad. I used the same digi-cam as I did for some pics I previously posted here on I-club. Those came out MUCH better.

Is that a bug deflector? I read that it disrupts airflow to the intercooler = bad

Default Purty car !!

I had to smile when I read what you had wrote as car model
2002 $$$$Pit.

Those are some nice SSR's. looks like an STi scoop, grille and of course the white instead of stock amber side dealy bops. It looks like the car is slightly lower than stock as it is. Looks great. Beautiful area to drive as well

Not much air travels into your scoop with highway speeds. In fact at highway speeds the air travels right over your scoop.

That's such a nice winery. I love that place.

Smile Thanks and...

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I appreciate it!

I was a little hesitant to double park in front of the winery and take those pics. Most of the complex's staff & visitors were "foo-foo" types---No offense to the other wine connoiseurs on here!

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed in how they came out. Oh well, I guess I have to spend less on mods and set aside some $$$ to ditch my cheapie, $120 Canon A10 digicam!

Btw,

Yes, VOLK RACING wheels--18" LE-37T's gun metal w/polished lips & sitting on 225-35-18 TOYO T-1S tires

My WRX *IS* lowered...can't tell in the pics but quite a bit from stock height. I have INTRAX Pro-Flex Coilovers--set about 2.5" (front) & 2" (rear) lower.

I think because I have 35 series tires, the gap between the tires and fenders appears larger than normal. Most people seem to run 40 series tires. I was planning on doing the same, but got a great deal on my set of TOYOS.

Fenderwell gaps are still a little to big for my tastes. I can fit about 3 fingers (front) & 2 (rear). My set up was about 1" lower, when I was living in S. Cal, but the roads in N. Cal are TERRIBLE!! I don't want to risk smacking my GReddy lip going over dips, potholes, etc., so I decided to raise my WRX up a bit.

Well, I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Drive safe,

CL

Yeah, I know...the bug deflector doesn't look too good, but I don't normally drive w/the bug deflector on. I only put it on for roadtrips. Luckily, I used it this time though. There were TONS of bugs & pebbles on the wine country roads!!

Btw, I haven't been thinking of selling my wheels, but I suppose everything can be had for the right price....Let's make a deal!
