My BCS has failed on my 2006 WRX. I have a friend who will give me his BCS of off his 2011 STI. Can anyone confirm if this will work. I searched, But got not definitives. Id really appreciate it if someone with direct knowledge of this can chime in. Thanks.

It will work but does not mount the same way but will plug in without mod.

Ok mounting shouldn't be much of an issue. I can handle fabbing a bracket. I'm not really familiar with how the system works, and while ive researched it i don't want to make any mistakes that can have serious consequences. that specific BCS wont cause higher boosting or any adverse affects from being used for a setup with a larger turbo from a new car?

The newer style ones actually work more effectively with the same wgdc so Id imagine it would likely overboost and need to be retuned for.
