They pulled the motor out of my car and block was stripped bare this week. I'm officially in the "no news is good news" stage of my rebuild. Every day I go without hearing from the engine builder, means one less thing he found that needs to be replaced. Only got one call this week - clutch and flywheel were trashed.

I'll be selling the 52lb/min bolt-on turbo out of my sti in a few weeks if you really want to visit the point of no return... You'd need a pro-tune and silicon inlet at the least, possibly injectors. Would probably give you about 100hp over wherever you are now.

There's no way of knowing that. I mean, even if you ran it at 18 psi, it's going to be putting more stress on every component in your engine. More wear. More pressure.

Lots of guys have run similar (or larger) turbos on stock internals for 20,40,80k miles and had no issues. Then there's other people who have blown up stock motors on stock turbos. There's just way too many unknowns.

The short answer is, if it's tuned right, it will not "blow your car up". But it will absolutely make stuff wear out faster. When I put it on my stock block, I went in with the mindset of "well if my motor blows, that's just an excuse to mod it more". The car also was not my only vehicle, so if it was apart for a week in a garage, it wasn't an issue.

If you haven't had the car that long, might be better to stick with the simple mods until you get bored with the car, and then use things like turbos etc to make it scary fast again.

Stop by all the local marinas too - a lot of them are going to be starting back up in the next few weeks and looking to re-staff the yard help moving boats and unwrapping, etc.

Hey guys i hand washed my car yesterday, and near the rear fender right where it has the protecter on the rear fender it seems to be chipped pretty badly but I'm not sure i think compound or clay bar will take it out the best way to explain it is i wash it spotless and it still looks dirty in that one spot! No scratches or chips anywhere else on the car just in the one spot
