MEGA UPDATE 10/30/13

Big update 8/30/13

UPDATE 7/16/13 PAGE 4

BIG UPDATE 5/30/13 PAGE 3

Since i saw my first wrx at the philly auto show i knew i wanted one. Leading up to turning 16 i had my eyes on a bunch of obscure stuff like 240sx to audi s4's but the wrx had been on the back burner. The reason being was my dad and i have seen many fast worked wrx's and sti's making him worried about me owning one. After tons of talking i finally convinced my dad to drive one and for some reason his perception of the car changed, turns out he thought it was a lot fast than it actually was. So now the problem was finding a clean car that i could afford. I came across an 02 wrx with decent milage but the catch was it had been given a reconstructed title when it was new from a minor collision. The car was repaired by and paid for by the last owner. My concern was and still is how im going to express what happened to the car and sell it still getting a fair bit back even though its reconstructed. Right now im enjoying my wrx and has been just about everything i expected it to be. For a first car i couldnt be happier but would still like some people to give their input as to what i should do. Just keep in mind im on a budget.

Sweet bug man, wait till you get an exhaust on then the mod bug is really gonna hit haha. My second WRX was an 02 WRB very similar I did a lot to it before I sold it, already saving for another one because I miss mine like crazy! Be safe and have fun with it, keep up with maintenance and look all over NASIOC if you need help or have questions it's probably been answered.

I have learned a world of knowledge from this site and the people on here about these cars, I feel like I could pull a motor and rebuild it on a wrx with a little help.

As far as mods, you won't regret an exhaust that's for sure and going for stage 2 is a good route as well and then start doing some exterior mods as well as interior. Of course all depending on your budget and what you want to do to your car and how you want it to perform, look, handle etc.

That's a good exhaust, I ran the invidia n1 race catless and then catted. The race is very loud but I loved it. I'm sure you can find some reviews and write ups on here on whatever exhaust your choosing and also don't forget YouTube. I've got some good ones of the N1 Race and I'm sure there's some good ones of the street version too. Are you just doing a catback or turbo back and are you gonna do uppipe as well?

Hard for me to say, never heard the N1 street in person as I had the race version, can't remember what the HKS sounds like either in person but I don't think it's as loud as the N1 Race, the race version is loud, I'm sure the street version is mellowed down a bit. The HKS I really have no experience but I'm sure some others will chime in and help you decide.

Best thing would probably be to YouTube them all or even see if you can find someone local to you that has the exhaust or one of your desired exhausts and see how they sound in person.

If you can, take some close ups of the damage and you can probably get some responses on how to fix it or get it repaired on a budget.
