Default Check boost control solenoid?

I've got a 07 STI. When I got my AP and went to stage 1 I was hitting my target boost with no issues. I got my Cobb DP installed and flashed my stage 2 maps. Once I went to stage 2 I was falling about 2psi short of target boost. I contacted Cobb to see if it were possible that I was falling short due to the stock catback and they told me no. They requested that I do some 4 gear pulls and log the data and send to them. Upon Cobb support reviewing the data they suggested that I check the boost control system for any issues with vacuum lines and to check the boost control solenoid. They also suggested that perhaps I might have a pre-turbo exhaust leak at the uppipe but I would think that I would be able to hear that. I also thought that if I did have a pre-turbo exhaust leak I most likely would not have been hitting stage 1 target boost.

So how does one go about "checking the boost control solenoid"?
