Default Legacy fuel tank into impreza

Will a mid 90s legacy tank bolt into a mid 90s impreza ? I wouldnt mind the extra 2 gallons, it would get 1 more trip to work or back (50 miles) with out refilling again.

If it did bolt it I'd bet the fuel level sending unit wouldn't read accurately

I fitted a 02 WRX tank in a 92 Legacy w/o problems so I'm pretty sure mid 90s Legacy will fit mid 90s Impreza and the other way around. The fuel level sender will give correct readings.
