Default PERRIN NEW EBCS (pics and install)

This is a product review and install of the updated Perrin EBCS Pro.

Here it is...

The first thing you need to do is find your factory boost control. The location varies depending on the year. but if you just follow the vacuum line off of the wastegate then it will lead to the bcs. here is a pic of mine after i found it and removed some of the 10mm bolts that keep it in place.

After you work it out...

The next step is to remove the vacuum lines. One goes to the turbo inlet.

The other goes to the compressor and wastegate.

Now for the good part.
There are two ways to connect it. Fast response and stock. If it is set up as stock, you will not need a tune, and you will not see any advantages over stock. Fast response requires tuning to work correctly. This is the fast response install.

First you have to figure out the best place to mount it. I figured here would look best...

After deciding where to mount it, I wrapped the wires in electrical tape to ensure water safe operation, and I installed the ports.

On the back of the EBCS are the 3 ports labled NO, NC, and COM

Included in the kit is 90 degree fittings and straight fittings. I used 2 90's and a straight. When installing the fittings, use teflon tape of some grease on the threads.

When connecting the vac lines, the NO port goes to the boost source(turbo). The wastegate connects to the COM port. The NC port connects to the intake. Please note that the NC port may be left open as long as it isn't blocked. Be sure to block the port on the turbo inlet otherwise you will have a vacuum leak. Zip-tie the lines.

On to the review.
The EBCS is the high quality that is expected from Perrin. I can't be any happier with the design. Looks amazing! The boost hits harder and much sooner than stock. It is definitely worth every penny. Install took about 1.5 hours. It would have been shorter but it was about 45 degrees outside and i got cold and worked slower For ease of install, when configuring the fittings, install the 90 degree ones first, and then the straights.

Gotta say that's a snazzy lookin ebcs.

Glad they actually designed their own, instead of buying a MAC valve for $25 then brand labeling it and charging $85+

I like the simplistic design of it as well, with the ports on the bottom, nice and clean

Glad you guys like them! They are a new and improved version of the EBCS Pro (round version) that we should have for sale in a couple of months or so. We had a few customers out testing them for the last few months and so far so good! You should see them soon!

Yes, price will be very similar, but include more things. More like 1 part for everyone. This is something we are doing to make it simpler for our dealers to sell. Lot more info coming on this soon.
