Default '08 WRX Dyno Tune Aquamist and LGT turbo

This is a car we have been working on for some time

It has the first Ecutek can bus tune we did in it

'07 LGT Turbo
Perrin tmic
Forge BOV
3" exhuast to twin 2.5 " mufflers
Upipe
Aquamist HFS 1
E boost 2
Aem Widenand gauge

Here are the results from the dyno session on 93 octane with 100% meth injection

24 peak boost tapering down to 12 - 13 psi

Loads of TQ down low but the turbo runs out of steam up top.

Still a nice car for the street and a total transformation from the stock power.

But still a nice gain on the stock high RPM! Yeah, that would be a monster of a daily driver car!

Why did you guys throw on a LGT blower instead of aftermarket?

The customer scractched the plans for the FP green and instead is going with the Perrin Gt30 kit and fmic

I am sitting in his car now - what a huge improvement over the anemic stock wrx - now it has some low end balls

VF-40, pretty sure.

Nice Al. How much timing did this car like with the combo your using?

What kind of boost curve is the stock turbo capable of? Does it basically match the torque band?

The boost spikes at max of 24 and tapers to 13- 14

Its enough power to max out the stock injectors with a walbro pump and require me to run two meth jets

The car is comming along nicely I am still tuning it and will make a video later this evening of me driving in it - its acr with loads of low end TQ at 3,000 and not much balls up top - ideal for auto x

05-06 LGT = VF40
07-08 LGT = VF46

Minor differences, new "five arc" compressor cover on VF46

why not try changing the wg actuator to a 15psi spring. may hold a little more boost up top. and do some EL headers while you're at it

Thank you for the great idea! My brain must be toxified from all the exhuast fumes. But of course the Home Depot spring mid seems like a great idea. Thanks!

Thanks to the suggestion of member Poopy today I raided the local hardware store for some nice springs and we did a home depot spring mod and also thanks to Mr. Tim Bailey of surgeline tuning for his suggestion on how to approach the timing on the car tonight we have increased to 470 tq and 334 whp

More to follow

looks like it holds tq a little bit better, and has some better midrange hp... not bad at all mr friedman.. not bad.. im impressed. i do not have the cash flow right at the moment but would like to bring my 04 sti to ics for a pull and compare it to what i made on a mustang dyno in lake placid ny. i would thoroughly enjoy it if you were to do a film documentary on it as well. By no means am i trying to mock you... i am very serious and would like to do a full comparison of moon performance mustang dyno vs the ics dynojet... sometime in march perhaps?
