Brand new engine haha, put a whole through piston 4 a couple months back haha. Just might be having some clutch issues and now an axle is slinging grease hahaha. Really loving this car recently...

You can use New York street over here for slow driving. Almost every evening you will get people doing 30 when it's 45 down most of it.

Well the good news is between 300zx and Hoffman, I'm sure they can figure out how to fix anything.

Well 14.75 is as they say money shot. Now is it.different between every car, possibly. The last thing you want to do is go lean again, you'll have a hole in #3 or 4 again. For some reason the 02' wrx had issues fueling when they were first introduced to the u.s, but would have 300zx confirm if you are a little on lean side or good, as i don't have a uego.

14.9-15.2 is perfect. Most of these motors are not designed to sit at 14.7 at idle...some of the fuel efficient cars burn fuel so efficiently that it sits at 17:1-18:1 at idle to get their 40 mpg+.

If you are running over 1000cc injectors anyhow you can pretty much kiss a nice steady idle good bye and watch the afr's go anywhere from 13:1-16:1 at idle.

Either way, you want around 14.7 at idle - i would be worried if you are constantly seeing 16:1+...and under boost you want anywhere from 10.5-12:1 depending on how aggressive your tune is. Richer being a safer tune and 11.5-12:1 being normal for a boosted application. E85 is around like 9:1 or something, but there should be a lamba sensor that will convert it to gasoline terms.

Yeah I'm running stock injectors right now. So now at idle I'm a little more towards the 15.0-15.4 side but during just crushing almost always around 14.6-14.9

That's good. Cruising should be more stoich/consistent than idle. Just make sure when you do go into boost for the first couple pulls that you are watching to make sure it sits at the right afr. After that just enjoy the light show until you are trying to diagnose your car for a problem.

Make sure to give that engine a lot of engine breaking for the rings to wear in right.

Yup lots of engine breaking and a lot of starting and stopping driving. Not a heck of a ton of just cruising hahaha

I might stop by Sunday. I promised the guy I would mount up and install the new big brake kit on the Z. I have to do all the fuel lines too on the car. Man I've been lazy and done nothing lately haha.

would be nice if we can get everyone from the meet to have one sometime. I got a parking lot that is wide open and has a lake behind it if we want to try it there.

I'm definitely in for a meat n photoshoot. As soon as my finals are over I'm gonna get my summers and mudflaps on, give her a quick once-over and I'll be good to go.
