Subaru sells a factory Kicker sub/amp if you want to overpay. Though it doesn't sound all that bad in a sedan.

Or you can do a line out converter and use whatever amp/sub you want.

Thanks
As far as the line out converter, is there one you recommend over the other?

Depends on the sub, no?

Some subs, especially the powered, under-seat variety like the Sound Ordinance B-8PD, Pyle PLBASS8, Soundstream USB-8A, etc. have speaker level inputs. All you need to do in that case is to connect up a two sets of speaker wires from the back of the head unit and run them to the sub, which is usually mounted under the driver's seat.

On my 2006 Forester, I used the Kenwood KSC-SW1 in that position and it sounded fine, although in my case I had a Pioneer HU and ran RCA cables to carry the signal.

I don't think SVXdc has a breakout harness for the Nav HU.
