Default fp green parts interchangable with e316g?

Hey all. I have an evo 3 big 16g 7cm2.

I found a local guy selling his fp green for $400 because it needs a rebuild.

My question is... is it possible to swap any of the parts from the fp green to my e3? Mainly the 8cm2 turbine housing.

Would be nice if I could use the comp cover or wheels.

Thanks!

Depends on te fp green but no the turbine housing won't fit... Why would you just not rebuild the green?? And sell the 16g for $300-400??

Is there any specific reason why the turbine housing wont work?

Is the green a TD06?

Like I said it depends on what green you have... And yes the green has always been a minimum of a TD06sl2 turbine... If you don't buy it turn him towards me cause I will if the price is right haha.

Take both housings to your local machine shop. I've had mine measure a td06h and bore/hone a td05h to the same measurement, cost me $35. I'd make sure the compressor wheel didn't hit the housing. I would imagine FP wants a pretty penny for a green wheel, turbine wheels are around $125, decent rebuild kits about $100, if you change a wheel $50 balance if you want the peace of mind. Your cost is now pretty high starting with a blown $400 turbo. If its just a smokng blown oil seal, you'll be ahead.

Ah... well, its on craigslist in colorado. Denver, just search forced performance.

He wants $400, I've seen good used fpgs go for $500 so that price is a little steep for a blown turbo imo.

Guess the search continues for a td05 8cm2 :/

FP will charge alot!!!!

I got a hot and cold side from a non HTA Green off ebay a few months ago and called FP about a new center section, and was not happy with what they told me.

Because the Green is a proprietary name turbo to FP they will not release any parts to the public or even a tuning shop. From what I understand the hot side is a generic TD05/6 hot side but they mod/tweak it in house so placing a normal hot side turbine in ti will be way inefficient.

On top of all that I was told the non HTA has been out of production long enough that FP no longer carries parts for it, and to have my bits fitted for a new HTA center section would be about $1000 with parts and labor. At that point you mind as well just outright by a new HTA Green and be done with it.

I misread your post on my phone, you are looking for a td05H 8cm not boring it to a td06H, sorry I'm old and getting blind.
Kinugawa has them for $145 and they are already ported.
I bought a few of them from a turbo shop going out of business and have one left if you want one for half of the kinugawa one. Never been run, also have never run mitsu td05h wheels and 20g wheels. PM me if interested.
