Default Insane Install Quote - Please Confirm

Ok, so I'm looking to get rotors, brakes, replacement struts (donor struts w/ Konis & Epic springs) installed and alignment done on a 2010 WRX. I have all of the parts already, just need labor done. I just went to a local mechanic and they quoted me ~$1,200 (~12 hours of labor). I am floored. I would have guessed about 1/2 that...

Questions:

1. Is this what I should expect?
2. If not, anyone know a shop in either Ft. Lauderdale or Miami area that would be worth trying?

Honestly, I was just looking to save myself the time, but if this is a good estimate, I'll buck up and do the install myself!

I have emails out to TAV and MGW in Pinecrest already, but looking for some insight in advance.

Thnx...

Do you have the tools?

I am currently in Homestead Air Base.

I will help you out, those parts are easy and can be done in less then 6 hours.

I know, that's why I was floored with the price!

No lift or air tools, but I have all the ratchets, wrenches, jack, stands, etc. I could possibly need to get these done. I was just hoping to save my time, if it wasn't too expensive...

Let me give that some thought. I'll PM you and let you know...

Thanks much for the offer!

Update: Yes, that quote was off the wall high. Twice the amount of the other quotes that i received.

crasyboy412 - Thanks again for the offer. For the sake of convenience, I'm going to use a local shop, so that I can get it done while I'm at work. I really, really appreciate the offer. My brother is AF (stationed in Utah), so much respect for all that you do. Stay safe...

its about 1~1.5 hour per corner...so maybe 4 to 6 hours depend
on if you have any frozen bolts. thats just for the install.

400~600 just for install labor..

you will need alignment afterwards..

Where exactly in America's penis are you located? I can do everything except the alignment on Sunday in my garage. I got air tools, stands, etc. Just break me off with a little something.

I very much appreciate the offer. Hadn't seen this post before; everything's done at this point.

Just came back to say that I wound up getting everything done at TAV racing in doral. Picked 'er up today and she's awesome. Highly recommend them for subaru work in Miami. Bonus - I didn't get bent over in the process!
