Try running an older version of the software, OR, try reading your Rom off the ecm, then writing it directly back in. See if its a Rom code error.

are you using a tactrix? if so did you install the tactrix J drivers listed on the site? install those first, then ecuflash, when prompted for openport install during ecuflash install, click cancel.

Anyone got any pointers? I've replaced the previous ECM due to it being bricked by the previous owner. Everything else connects besides ECUFLASH

what is your voltage? what model tactrix cable? had the same issue, and it turned out to be a combination of voltage being out of range because my battery is oversized and a 1.3 tactrix

I've done a ton of searching and believe I have tried nearly everything. When I click on Read From ECU it brings up the box for Make, Market, Model, etc. but it's all blank with no choices.

*Update* Downloaded EcuFlash on a laptop at work and it worked just fine. Still had the "error loading FTD2XX.DLL" but from my research that has no effect on it.

I'm guessing that you aren't using an OpenPort cable, which means you're trying to work with unsupported hardware. If you are trying to use an OpenPort cable, contact us at support at tactrix dot com and we'll help you get this working.

Yep, you can ignore the FTD2XX.DLL error since that relates to our old 1.3 hardware version. If you'd like to figure out why it wasn't working on the other laptop, contact me at support at tactrix dot com and we'll get you up and running. We have some issues with Windows Vista because of the way the device drivers are structured as compared to every other version of Windows, but Windows 7 shouldn't be a problem at all. Happy to help you get that sorted.

That's the odd part, both laptops are using Windows 7. Is there a complete list of drivers the EcuFlash and OpenPort use? When I uninstalled it (several times) I uninstalled all the drivers also. I'm wondering if maybe there is one not so obvious driver that I missed because when I reinstall EcuFlash it still has my old settings for the folders saved.

If you are still having troubles connecting through EcuFlash. Have you considered the possibility that the ECU is married to a Accessport or EcuTeK? Also, just for reference, do you have the green test mode connectors connected when you try to pull your rom(tune) from the car? You need to have them connected when uploading and downloading tunes.

In one of my previous posts I updated that it worked on my work laptop. It's something to do with my laptop as I was able to pull my map off the ECU no problem with the other one. I am also able to log with RomRaider perfectly fine on the laptop that EcuFlash doesn't work on.
