Default Winter wheels on today

I took my car up to the local Discount Tire to have my Sparcos and winter tires put on. Not only was there no charge for swapping the sets of wheels, they also put the new TPMS sensors into the computer at no charge.

I haven't driven the car without the stock wheels and tires in the back, so I'm not sure if the programming worked or not, but they said to bring it in if it didn't and they will take care of it for me.

They will work fine without them. This is exactly how I do mine. I'll need to do it again here pretty soon haha. Last time I swapped my wheels myself and they reprogrammed for me no problem!

Discount Tire has surprisingly good service, though you may want to be careful and ask them to take special care not to scratch the rims when mounting/unmounting tires. My stock rims suffered some circumferential scratching [about 2-3 inches in from the lip] from the tire machine but I can't really complain since the previous owner curb rashed most of them anyways. I never brought it up to them since it isn't a huge issue to me, but I know it might be to other folks [Also, YMMV from shop to shop].

The TPMS light came on after about 15 minutes of driving, so when I go in for the re-torque of the lug nuts they will reset it for me.

I've been really happy with the service at Discount Tire with this car and two before it.
