Default 3 port boost control solenoid question

In the search for finding out why my car suddenly runs rich, I found that the hose that goes from the compressor housing nipple to the boost control solenoid was unplugged. I also saw that the nipple on the solenoid that should have a hose going from it to the intake was also missing. I haven't seen any stray hoses that look like they would go to that so I was wondering if its possible to tune it without having that hose hooked up?

If that hose is unhooked then you have a large boost leak and your wastegate has nothing allowing it to open. Your car will probably have a poor idle and boost so high it will blow itself up.

You need to have the lines hooked up.

Well it hasn't been blown up yet, I guess the build helped a lot for that. I got everything hooked up properly now. I don't think it ever had a line for the 3rd port which is odd since it was built by AWD Tuning...thought they would have done that.

^ correct on my setup I have one port open to the atmosphere the nipple that is supposed to be connected to the turbo inlet. Yet I run an EWG idk if that has anything to do with it but P&L Motorsports hooked mine up like that.

Well, I found that the reason I was running rich was because I had a MAP sensor with the nipple broken off.
