I guess this is what happens when you drive a WRB WRX.
When people ride my bumper I empty the contents of my windshield washer reservoir. Stuff is cheap.

Hah maybe adjust your right nozzle so it shoots over your car. Who cares if the right side of your windshield isn't clean?

If you get an Arduino (cheap, programmable chip) you can actually make a little LED sign that goes in your rear window that says something like "Get off my ass". You have a speed sensor and proximity sensor attached to the chip so say if you're going 60 mph and somebody is within 20 feet of you it'll light up the sign, and if you're going 20 mph it won't light up unless somebody is within 5 feet of you, for example. I considered making one but decided to make a thermal camera instead.

It would definitely be very easy though to make an LED sign and have it hooked up to a button between the seats. I always thought it would be cool to have a "Thanks" and a "Get off my ass" sign.

Here's an example: http://hackaday.com/2011/10/20/rear-...-of-your-mind/. Maybe I'll do that this summer as long as you guys reassure me that it's a good idea

Here's another with video: http://hackaday.com/2013/01/09/anoth...w-led-marquee/

Edit: uhoh guys I'm getting myself excited over this.

You can buy LED matrices here: http://www.futurlec.com/LEDMatrix.shtml ... they are so cheap!!
Oh god:
Amazon.com: 10pcs Red 64 LED Dot Matrix Displays 3mm: Home ImprovementAmazon.com: 10pcs Red 64 LED Dot Matrix Displays 3mm: Home Improvement

Maybe I'll do it this summer. Probably like 1.5 foot by 6 inch matrix or something.

I'd be careful with this, I think you have to have permits to have active lettering or something stupid on your car. I'd check with local PD and see if it's an issue before investing time and money.

That being said, I've daydreamed of a setup like that, where I can truly say what is on my mind to some moron.

Yeah that's a good point. Police are such wet blankets sometimes

Edit:

Oh em gee http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/d138/

No way it's illegal if you can get that. Might just get that and save myself the trouble . Actually says may not be legal in all states. guess I gotta do some research.

Thats priceless what happened. I drive major highway each morning to work and them "idiots" in their luzury benz amd bmw think its cool to fly by me and cut me off like i am the one doing wrong. I am just waiting for the day that a situation like this happens by me. People just need to learn how to drive at the end of the day. Back to Basics.

omg the first post was an amazing read.

I got a ricer fly by by 2 dudes in a Ferrari California the other day...down a 25mph road. I drive down it to school all the time and I'm well aware of where the potholes and huge bumps are (Michigan roads are terrible). So much to my pleasure after he flies by me going full throttle, he hits the biggest lump in the road and loses traction for a second in the rear. Wish I could have seen his face...he slowed down after that.

I don't know if it's possible to do a ricer flyby in a ferrari california... It would just be an awesome flyby.

It was an awesome flyby, however going full throttle down a 25mph school zone in a Ferrari is unnecessary. I already thought the car was cool, he didn't need to prove it to me haha.
