Buying Subzeros.
Which lugs should I get? What fit best and offer best protection from theft? Thanks, PS. If I go to purchase them can you tell me what size lugs I need to fit the SubZeros? Thanks again, Drew

You need a conical style lug nut.
As far as protection, its really up for debate. Gorrila, mcgard, kyokugen are some brands to look at. Perhaps get some wheel locks in addition to the lugnuts. the size is 12x1.25 |

I've been told that there are three different angles used by wheel makers for the mating of the lug nut to the wheel. Does anyone know if Rota and Subaru use the same angle? I bought Gorilla lug nuts (Subaru style) for my Rotas but now I'm wondering if they are the right kind.

While there are other types of lugs like "Shank style", "Mag style", etc... all the "Acorn" types are 60-degree.
Within the "Acorn" style, some wheels have a standard seat area like the Subaru OEM wheels; some have a wider seat area which can be utilized with the "Acorn Bulge" style lugs; and there are those wheels with narrow lug holes that require "Tuner" lugs or something like the McGard Splinedrive. But all three retains the 60-degree seat angle. -Ray |

Thank you, so the contact area may differ but the angle is the same. The Gorillas designed for Subaru should work OK on Rota wheels. I think I'll take one off and measure the angle to compare with the nuts that came with the wheel. Duh, that should answer the question.
