The nameless muffler on the magnaflow website its listed under camaro/firebird v8 single in double out.

Is it in decent shape?

I know this is kind of a long shot, but what the heck.

Myself and a friend are making a weekend trip up to the mountains and we are looking for a place to crash tonight. We only need some floor space and a quick shower if possible. Anyone willing would of course be treated a good dinner from a place of their choosing.

If you are interested or need some more information feel free to PM me.

Yeah from what I remember good shap, no dings or dents. It was on the car when I bought it. someone just welded in a magnaflow muffler to all the stock exhaust piping. I loved the sound but wanted bigger piping than the stock crush bent stuff so I bought a magnaflow cat back. Its been sitting around ever since.

I used a torch to take off the old exhaust piping so the ends have doodle balls that need to be ground down or off

Ok awesome, any idea what the inlet and outlet diameters are? Doesn't really matter, I'll take it off your hands and try it out.

I believe they are all 3 in, I will have to double check and measure to confirm though.

How much experience do you have with your tig welder? I have been watching some YouTube videos and it doesn't look quite as simple as I thought... Haha

Do they have a reason for it not being done?

I've always used napa in mauldin, getting heads milled, flywheels milled and other little knick knacks are always done in a day or two.

I asked two weeks ago when I was last in there checking the status and they told me a bunch of diesel stuff had come in - the place looked busy, and it appears to be a 1 man operation. Still though, in my experiece 1 week is longer than normal for anything simple like a valve job.

In a nice way, just ask for your part back and go to another machine shop, unless you're not in any rush, then just wait

The Napa in Mauldin will not do a valve job on the newer Subaru heads. They said they don't have the equipment. I used them before to resurface my flywheel. They do good work.

Does anyone have a v-box? I want to do some testing

I am not in a rush, but I also value being able to get a project finished and I've been in a holding pattern as long as I care to be. I'd feel better about it if he was giving me some sort of discount, but he is actually rather expensive.

This is for a 2jz head, nothing too out of the ordinary.

I've had work done at B&M Auto Machine Shop in Greer, and 81 Automotive in between Greenville and Easley with good results if you're looking for another option.

Hey all! I am pretty new to the greenville upstate area! I live up here in Asheville, does anyone know of a club that meets in Asheville? If not I will have to make it down sometime. Thanks in advance!

Asheville actually has a thread on here I think it's moderately active. Never been up there to a meet .

Machineship update: Ken promised that my head will be done in a week. I'm crossing my fingers, I'm ready to button that project up.

Anyone have any experience with vinyl wrapping? Have any tips or suggestions? I got quoted a huge number to repaint my car from a guy I trust (my car has some problems for painting) so I decided I want to just vinyl it for the time being.

I'm moving up this weekend FYI.
