sti splitter to my wrx hood

maybe im just blind and half or 3/4 retarded but im having a hard time finding good info on this subject. the pop up "here are some similar threads we found" after you type the title in, ALMOST saved me a post but it didnt

let me start off by saying im putting a 2006 sti motor into my 2003 wrx. everything is figured out, except the splitter. will the sti splitter bolt to my wrx hood with small modification or none? i WANT to keep my wrx hood/scoop setup to make it a full sleeper. need to figure out before i buy it!

Save money, take your splitter out, cut it and modify it to fit your hood scoop exactly, gives you the same results. Or you could buy a JDM sti splitter.

but i should purchase the sti sealing pieces correct?

I installed an Sti tmic and kept my oem hood scoop on my wrx hood, and then combined 2 wrx splitters to make a custom splitter. Pop rivets are the bomb. Used garage door seal an foam blocks to seal. Took a long time and lots of handwork. pics:

An 06/07 splitter will not directly bolt onto your 02/03 WRX hood or fit into your hood scoop. Your better off buying a JDM hood scoop and splitter and having that paint matched. There's plenty of people running STi motors or STi tmic on their 02/03 and running the stock hood scoop and splitter. I'm sure you'll be fine...
