Default OEM Subaru Front License Plate Frame?

I don't know why the dealerships don't include these with the cars. (one came with my corolla)

A license plate frame mount that flushes with the car. I see it in this picture but can't find it anywhere on the internet

Hmm.. never really noticed those, the only ones I could pull up are to base model Imprezas. Probably won't fit. Ebay is never a bad place to start

The cover you take off is large, but like Rob said, if you mount the plate close enough the hole isn't visible unless you are looking for it.

+1 for grimmspeed relocation kit. Crappy cell pic incoming...

I tried the Totsubo aluminum mounts and although they were installed properly I would find them pulling out of the JDM holes. Still trying to find an adaptor for the JDM mounting holes as the side mount just isn't my taste.

A couple of years ago I bought one for my 2010 WRX from Chaplins parts (subarugenuineparts dot com) which was OEM. I just took a look at their site again and didn't see it listed any longer. Maybe give them a call and see if its something they could get their hands on again?

I actually didn't end-up using it.. I thought it looked kind of bulky/chunky in person and ended-up buying a very simple mount from Amazon.

I just use the Subaru front license plate. It is the same for all Subaru models, is stainless steel with black powdercoat, and gets the job done. It has little rubber washers that lift the plate slightly off the bumper, they do this to prevent any scratching.

I have that standard Subaru plate mount as well with the rubber buffers and its nice. Too bad it won't mount to the JDM bumper holes as I'm trying to avoid drilling the bumper at the dimple marks.

Super easy and no holes in bumper using jdm bumper holes.

I use these, then my plate and an spt plate frame. Works great

I actually purchased these and I'm not sure if it was the California heat but they wouldn't hold in with the wellnuts. I found that after a week they had started to work themselves out of the holes. Tried some 3M double stick tape to reinforce and that didn't help much. Do you experience any of these issues?

None, working great as of now. All I did as others suggest is shave off the end of the screws so it doesn't rub and make noise

My salesman wanted to mount my plate on my STi. He said they use a new kit to mount it. It's kind of like a giant washer that goes inbetween the plate and the screw hole. He said its new for 2013 I will take a picture when I leave work. It looks great imho. Maybe they are universal for all other Subarus.
