In my opinion what's the point of paying money to paint a logo on the floor if its just going to get covered in oil and dirt. I say that you keep the floor color maybe even just but another layer of epoxy on it and go crazy on the walls. Have your tattoo artist go crazy on one wall as an accent. Or go simple and get chalkboard paint and cover a wall in it and create your own to-do list or whatever you want.

hm... maybe you could just do a giant tape mask or something like that. paint the floor of the garage whatever colour you want eg yellow for subaru WRC decal, seal and then tape off and cut out a design where you don't want the paint leaving tabs to pull up on later. then when using a flooring sealer cover the whole thing and use the tabs pull away your stencil.

if you want it durable, seal the design again.

the plastic stick on stuff used to frost glass might work well for masking. It's large, and should be durable enough to pull up without screwing up your design.

That's going to look awesome when you no longer have a Subaru.

Search on Google Images for "logo in garage floor" and you'll find lots of info. Lots of Harley and Corvette logos too.

You should paint a giant Subaru logo across the front of your house. Everyone would know how committed you are.

If I were inclined, I would opt for the banner. But if this is something you would like to do, as another poster suggested, you could have a graphics shop do the logo for you in vinyl. Usually shops that wrap cars would be able to do this for you.

Why the heck would anyone want to paint a Subaru logo on their garage floor? Subaru built your car. Subaru doesn't pay the bills, didn't deliver your first child, and doesn't contribute to anyone not employed by the company. You paid them your hard earned cash for the car and that's about as much as anyone should do for a corporation.

Throw a Subaru sticker on your tool box but paint their corporate logo on your garage floor? WTF?

Good god some of you people need to get a life.
I actually feel the same, that is why I said if I was inclined to do so. I refuse to wear logos of any type. As far as clothing goes, you pay more for something that in essence is the same as any other clothing you could buy, but you are doing them a favor by advertising for them. Let's see, I pay for something to advertise for you? Not for me.

Sounds pretty cool I think. Most of these people who are giving you **** probably don't even own their own home. I've been looking at this site garagejournals.com recently for random cool ideas for my garage. The race deck (I think thats it) tiles are real popular over there. Some people say that the epoxies don't hold up all that well in the long term depending on the floor prep. It would be cool to just do something simple with different racedeck tiles to give it a subaru theme, ie blue/gold if they make the tiles in that color. But either way, post up some pics of whatever you do!

get an underside shot of the car and put that on the floor, then when you are under the car you'll have a reference as to where **** should be.

I have a bunch of banners and posters that plaster my garage. Putting the logo on the floor would be cool, imo. You could look in to a stick on logo (rather than painted) and maybe one that is like the top of a skate board. Something that won't be slick when wet, I think vinyl would be slippery.
Then you can just peel it off when/if you move. Or, have it sketched and painted on the wall, then you could paint over it when you move.

The benefit to banners is you can re-arrange them when you get more, hang cabinets, or need to make any other sort of change in your garage. My friends and I used to cut the banners off the fences at car races. We'd always get a descent amount at NASCAR or ChampCar races, when they were in town.

People need to chill with the criticism. It's your garage, you pay the bills, you own your car and its your interest. If you're going to have Subarus for at least 5-6 years, who cares. It will look great and mean something to you. If you sell it, you can always redo the floor. I also have classic AMC cars and always will, so when I own a garage and am stabile in one location, there will undoubtedly be an AMC logo on my garage floor.
