how to modify wrx splitter for an sti tmic in an 07 wrx, or DIY install

Hey, Im wondering if anyone has a video or write up on how to modify your wrx splitter to be bigger for an sti tmic
or if anyone has a diy install video for the sti splitter on a wrx
Im assuming its a bolt on bolt off but want to be sure, let me know thanks

I figured 2.5L was the right one. I dont see how interior and exterior modification has to do with a splitter? The splitter is inside the engine bay not the interior or exterior. So why are ya mad?? I did post in the right forum and it was moved to a wrong one

Also- you said prosport gauges suck and blow sending units every 5k miles...
Then why'd you post that prosport is one of the top brands on the market in your FAQ write up 2 paragraphs from the top?
I drive 15-17k miles a year, so go ahead and blow sending units every 5k miles, with the prosport 1 year warranty ill get 3 new ones this next year! Woot!

I just got prosport because your thread said it was good sir..but I guess not. Or are they? But you can't. Nobodies perfect and neither are you sir. You've probably done this to other people too there just "afraid" to stand up for themselves at all because your a mod. Its an exterior modification, its part of your hood... There is nothing about this mod that need to be in the 2.5 Technical forums... I don't get why you are so butt hurt it was moved?

Nah its not on the outside of the car at all.
I wouldn't care but its the fact I've only talked to this genius twice and both times he contracted himself in a Smartass condescending way.
And he most likely does it to other people too
It has to do with the tmic which is an engine component not a roof vane, wheels, radio setup or steering wheel at all.

The intercooler splitter is part of your hood. Therefore part of the exterior.

People are trying to help you. If you can't do it, go to P&L, AMS or Six Star. They can all help you if you are willing to listen and pay.

then you must...MUST BUY one and not try to do the impossible

any sti splitter will bolt up....the 06 and 07 are straight swap

Gotcha! Since there bolt on swaps that's not a problem I found one for $60, caws just wondering before I bought if it was easier to just mod my Wrx one
so what do I need to ask for besides the splitter itself? The seals and whatever bolts of of the splitter basically? Seals splitter what else?

if the splitter is whole and has not been changed. in any way....unbolting it and straight swapping it is all that is needed

do NOT overtorue the nuts!!!!!

I've taken the liberty of pointing it out, because this shot of the exterior of the car includes the splitter.
