Default Drove to work on my link today.

Finally working to the point that I trust it to take me places.
pinging if I step on it in the higher gears. Need to do the o2 swap so my sensor is more accurate to start tuning with.

I'm going to have to check out your map sometime.

I've got mine tuned to the point of making great power (outran a stock Si last night up to like 85-ish... thats pretty much unheard of in a near-stock RS) without pinging other then occasional tip-in, and still cruise isn't too bad. I can get just under 17mpg on my current map, though considering I drive it hard, thats pretty decent.

Its real near the base map right now. I still deciding on where to set the master fuel value and then starting my line tuning, but I need my o2 swapped before I can do much more.

At idle im reading the rich side of stoich and thats on the second o2.

As far as when the turbo goes in? Im hoping late oct-early november. Alot depends on how confident I am with tuning. Once it gets cold it wont be much fun out in the garage.

Yikes!!! I'd better stop dreaming of turboing my RS and either get a Toyota Prius, Honda Civic Hybrid or a Golf TDI...I need MPG similar to my car now. Even now I think the MPG is low.

I hate cars...

23 mpg all day in town.

30-32 mpg on extended highway cruising.

As for the sanely driven part, we'll leave that up to the courts...

I used to get 20-21mpg around town while beating on my car while it was RS-T. The best mpg I've ever gotten on the highway was around 29mpg and that was in stock form.

Woo woo Brian. So that is what you wanted to show me..

2 things.

Datalog your car on the stock ECu and get a timng map with relation to rpm and MAP.

Tune for more timing at lower MAP readings and higher RPM.

1 thing for Marcin.. We don't want to know what you do in bed!

wow, I get about 15mpg on average....

btw nick, you have a part very few "near stock" RS's have, in that flywheel, that can contribute some as well

Yah, it was my first spin out with the ecu working properly. Dont suppose you can help me out some this weekend? Will the obd-ii logger pull the timing map out? Keeping the stock ecu in the car "just in case" Also its hard to start the car. Wonder if I need more or less crank enrichment?

How was the drive itself, how would you describe the way the engin was running. Do you still have a lot driveability of issues?

Does the knock sensor reacts to the knocking? I hope you get the issue resolved.

Idles perfecly, now thats unheard of.

most knock sensors will not pick up ping, pinging is just pre-igintion...and most knock sensors are tuned to ignore light pinging(audible pinging) it's the pinging you don't hear that the knock sensor is worried about.

For starting enrichments let me give you an example:

10% extra fuel on starting.

200% extra fuel depending on coolant temp. Full 200% if coolant is -30 deg C or less ramping down to 0% extra fuel at 80 deg C.

I just need to hookup the EGT gauge to the power and the probe(probe installed today).
Also I need to run that Vac to the Maf sensor.

But all that is useless since I don't have a laptop.

I knew I could count on you guys.
After next payday, I'll be getting a laptop. I don't have enough spending money at this time.
