Question First Mod- RallyArmor? PlastiDip? Tint?

Got a 2013 DGM on New Years Eve and am closing in on 1,000 miles. Along with that excitement, I'm trying to get my mind around what mod I want to do first. I have it down to Mud flaps, tinting or Plastidip rims Gold.

I eventually plan on doing them all eventually. I live in Northern VA where we just got our first inch of snow so mud flaps sound like a good idea, but living in NoVA, who knows how long its gonna stick around. Performance mods are a lil further down the road

Anyones thoughts?

I bought the Rally Armor Classic mudflaps and LOVE them. I live in eastern PA so snow comes and goes, but they are worth the money. I have yet to get a tint but I plan on doing that around March or so when the weather begins to heat up

You can plastidip any time. However, we cannot tell you what to do to your car first. Do whatever you want.

If you have leather, tint is a must. Hell, tint would be my first choice anyways. It looks better, adds privacy, and protects your interior.

I have the urethane RA flaps and they are unbreakable. That's always a good choice, but tint it first.

Get the rally armor mudflaps first. The wide body will get some road rash over time. May not be as noticable as mine was being black, but the added protection that the huge mudflaps offer is worth it and just not cosmetic.

Since you ride on the inside, and other mods wont be as noticeable i would highly suggest tint.

I would normally agree, but mud flaps are great for protecting the paint.

Tint since flaps aren't necessary where you live.

My first mod would be to move away from NoVA. Barring that something that will protect you from other drivers.

The first week I owned my Subaru while living there I had a major door ding and someone scraped the paint off the corner of my rear bumper with their car.

I also live in NoVa, I would recommend you go with the mudflaps. Not only do they add to the cool factor, but they also help protect certain sections of your paint. You know how the DMV roads are. If you go with the Rally Armor PU mudflaps they will last a long time. Plus, you can always wear sunglasses!

I don't know why everyone loves tint. I say flaps.

There will always be dirt and grit on the roads, always. Doesn't matter where you are.

it you can have them take the ding guards off and patch the holes. That's my opinion.

First mod should be plasti dip. Cheapest, easiest, you can do it while asking questions like "Tint or mudflaps first?" and shopping/waiting.

I live in NEPA and getting mud flaps is night and day with all the rock salt that kicks up.

I wish It was light so I could go take a picture. I bought my car with ~70k miles on it, 2 previous owners never ran flaps. It looked like someone started sandblasting the side of the car. Anything over a foot away you can't tell, but when you're right up on it, its VERY noticeable. I'll never run without flaps again.

FWIW, You don't have to buy RA's. If all you see is pavement, the Flapatax flaps are really awesome. And if anything should happen to a flap, customer service is TOP NOTCH.
