Exclamation *Clicking* noise when accelerating and bad boost

I have a 04 WRX, it was retuned with 565 DW injectors (dont know if that matters). Im running stage II and have the boost turned down to 12.5 max.
When i accelerate in any gear i hear a fast "clicking" noise coming from the area around the turbo (left side of engine when facing it). The noise begins when the boost is rising from 10 inHg to 0psi then it stops.
The car has 145k miles on it and i check the oil every other fill up and have it serviced as scheduled.
I am thinking it is a preturbo leak as i never reach full boost anymore. Any thoughts before i start tearing things apart.

You may be over taxing the stock BCS trying to keep it at 12.5 psi on a stage 2 setup.

Why would you run less boost than stock?

The car turned into my DD when i bought a bike. But I had a look today, no exhaust leaks and the BCS is fine.

Put my boost back up to 17.5psi this past weekend, still runs the same.
Going to have a shop run some tests later in the week and hopefully have the problem fixed.
Ill post the results
