Have a Nice Day? battery Tie down.

Was wondering if anyone has some cool battery tie downs. I've been looking around but I wanted a red one to match my engine bay theme. Yes I searched here on NASIOC but flame away anyway. Its a nice touch to the bay.

I found one red one but it wasnt to my liking. be cool if someone came up with something like this. I found it on a civic forum. ahhh google, shame on you. lol.

something a little neat like that is pretty awesome. I'm just wondering.

Hmm if someone made one like that I'd pick one up. Interested to see what other people have found.

Wouldn't it be universal since it's just for a battery?

i' emailed them about the length between the two things (forgot what they are called, 2 hours of sleep last night doing a speech for school) The gc is 190mm while the 2008 is 200mm. I couldnt find any specification on it yet.

That's some cool stuff. I was thinking about getting the SPT one. But having one of these with custom message would be cool too.

Welp. It will not work on our cars due to the length, but he is willing to make a prototype out and is working on it! Probably one of the best guy ever, super nice and really fast responses. hopefully it'll all work out and i'll let you guys know!

our bolts are 8 inches apart and the civics are 6.5 or something and the overall length is about 7.25, theres no way it will fit. plus the nubs on the battery if you have the stock one will not allow it to be fitted. He told me he will do a prototype and send it to me whenever he finishes and we'll see from there. not sure on the date but this guy has commitment.

this is for my 2008 wrx right now, would some of you guys check your batteries for your year model? What I need would be your battery length from the bolts, i'm pretty sure they should be 8" and are the pole which they are screw onto the same height or are they different. my 08 has one that is higher and one that is lower. that way I will know if they would match. Thanks!

I have been thinking about designing my own and cutting it on our laser. I have just been too lazy.

I honestly hope so, He is truly a great guy. plus he does it cheaper than most other tie downs along with doing custom designs which is super nice.

Lets get some measurements done first on these battery to see how universal they are. This upcoming cruise will allow me to do some more measurements on other models. I'll def let him know and we'll see what we can do.

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky with the equipment at my work, and my boss not really caring what we design and cut as long as we pay for it. "Paying for it" is really just the scrap price of the steel we use. I cut my own license plate delete for about a penny

It truly does, i'm keeping tabs on models and the specs. Could you also quickly check the next time you try, The measurements between the two tabs thing on top in the middle? and are your rods the same height? about the only thing left.

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...ntifier=115788

The black tabs are the one with the warning on it.

Rod height-9inches look to be the same height. Can't measure one side be cause my ghetto fuse holder support.
And I think this is also what you wanted.
Never noticed how small that gap is.

Wow thats perfect, alright, its looking like this would currently be a more universal fit for the 04+ wrx/sti I'll validate it when i get home with the exact measurements. I believe mine is less than an inch on the stock battery so I know it will fit on your between there.
