No need for a new tune.
I wouldn't spend money on having the OEM manifold ceramic coated. I can't think of any disadvantages. |

Great info... I just kind of hope Cobb chimes in to verify it doesn't need a tune.. last thing I want is to screw my car up.. Subarus are pretty temperamental when changing parts

its not really worth the money. i have the same grimspeed pnp w/ crosspipe you are referring to and i coudlnt notice a difference after installing it. i would be very suprised if you could feel a difference. its better in theory but i think the gains are maybe 5hp if your lucky. dont get me wrong, its a nice part, but the gains for the $ are not there at all. so small its not worth $300 dollars thats for sure.
cobb doesnt need to verify you dont need a tune. you dont need a tune, and im not cobb, there i said it |

im trying to pick up another oem header/crosspipe, and gasket match porting it myself.. saving a bunch of money. if it helps with spool, lag, or even adds a little hp, then i think its worth the few hours of work. i just wanted cobb to chime in, because im running a stage 2 map, and its not in the list of approved mods on their site. plus, the last thing i want to do is screw up my motor thanks cobb for chiming in! |

Nothing wrong with the porting. Its great workmanship. I just wouldn't recomend ported manifolds in general because they do have a tendency to leak.
