Default Anyone have liberty Mutual?

So I just switched my insurance again because GEICO decided in increase my monthly payment by $100 for no reason. I just switched to liberty and they gave me a huge Subaru discount. Plus the whole new car replacement thing. Anyone else have them? And how is your experience?

Pretty well known. I don't have them as I go with an independent agent. I wish Liberty would open their test track to me. It's in Hopkinton.

I've used Liberty for years and years now. They sponsor of a number of Subaru events, and also show up to Wicked Big Meet every year.

Theyre good. Their claims department ROCKS, assuming you dont get stuck with a ****ty appraiser (which are contracted out).

Make sure the new car replacement thing actually applies to you. It does not apply to everybody.

I switched to Liberty because I get a discount through my work. I haven't had any claims but they were super responsive when it came to getting paperwork done for registering my new car and again when putting my WRX back on the road.

Liberty Rocks, combined my work discount (which I shouldn't get because I'm technically a consultant) and my subaru discount (which I don't own any more, but "well your new car has a subaru VIN so WTH why not")

The only issue I had was they sent a letter to my old insurance company with the wrong dates of the coverage take over, long story short there was a month that I didn't have coverage (even though I paid for it) and the registry cancelled both my cars, they worked everything out, and I'm a happy customer.

Wow, a lot of good words to be said. Yes I'm pretty sure I apply to the new car replacement, I have to double check as I just got it.

Also how do they take to modified cars?

Talk to your agent. Be VERY clear. Get everything in writing. If you want extra coverage, you will pay for it.

Well I only have a full exhaust but I know some companies don't like when anything is modified. It only cost me $200 for it so its not like I've done a lot.

As far as snap shot they take into account how fast you accelerate and break as well as how far you travel.

Do you think that would increase my premium? Just trying to save on all my bill because the wife and I are looking at a place in Natick.

I have had Liberty for at least 5 years now and no complaints. They give great service every time I call them, rates are consistent and they are very affordable.

I've had Liberty Mutual since I got my license. They have been very helpful in instances for claims and for general research purposes. I've never had any issues because my vehicles were modified, and they actually helped me get more money from another insurance company when my Ford Probe got totaled (100% the other driver's fault) that had just had a big brake kit installed on it.

I have liberty mutual now and they've treated me well so far. I have heard horror stories about them when it comes time for them to pay out. (Odd timing) Just 5 minutes ago I was talking with someone I work with who had a tree fall on her car and Liberty mutual is squabbling over which way the scratches were going trying to say they weren't caused by the tree and here car was mint before the incident. She's been with them for like 12 years.

Why would he need to tell his own insurance about modifications that he wants a different (at fault) company to pay for? If someone else hits you and is at fault, they need to make you whole. If they damage your bling wheels, they need to replace/repair them with the same bling wheels.

The only time you need to consider getting a rider on your own ploicy is if you want those bling bits to be covered in the case of theft or accidents where you are at fault. Stock parts aren't cheap, so usually you can take the value of those replacement parts and use it to resolve your issue.

I have Liberty and have had nothing but positive experiences from my built STi to my exterior mod only s2000.

I have had mods on my cars through them and have had the mods replaced and accounted for after an accident without previous documentation. However:

This. Just because I had luck, doesn't mean it will always happen.

You definitely made a better decision over Geico. How that lizard continues to run a business is beyond me.

After. The kit had only been on the car for about a month, and because it was a significant upgrade on something that could be considered a safety item, they were quite happy to help basically explain what Snowphun said. This was in 1995ish, so not all of this information was readily available on the internet. In this case, the value of the upgraded parts were significantly more than the stock parts, and they ended up (justifiably) totaling the car.

I use Liberty as my insurance company and I know several people who work there. They appear to be a well run (if not ginormous) business. I have not received competing quotes that are as friendly as theirs when factoring in the discounts I'm eligible for. Since they are a well established company, their policy management is well organized and I haven't had any problems with their systems.
