Default Lykan Hypersport is the Arab World's First Supercar, Costs $3.4 Million and has 750hp

Carscoop: http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2013/01...rld-first.html

Quote:
With a voracious appetite for all kinds of supercars and plenty of wealth to sustain it thanks to its oil-rich real estate, it shouldn't come to as a surprise that the Arab world has finally managed to produce its own hypercar in the guise of W Motors's Lykan Hypersport, which was introduced at this week's Qatar Motor Show.
While many questions remain unanswered, what we do know about the Beirut-based company's edgy-looking (some may say, Lamborghini-esque) Lykan Hypersport is that only seven cars will be produced, each carrying a base sticker price of $3.4 million (about €2.4 million at today's exchange rates), which includes a $200,000 limited edition Cyrus Klepcy watch.

The Lykan Hypersport comes with a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine (likely sourced from Porsche) with 750-horsepower positioned behind the driver and can reach 100km/h (62mph) in 2.8 seconds before topping out at 395km/h (245mph) – yep, you're not the only one thinking about 'hagwalah' right now…

Other notable features include a world first diamond-encrusted LED lights, gold-stitched leather and what the company describes as a Virtual Holographic Display for the instrument panel.

People thought the C7 vette looked bad? Looks like a smash up of an R8, lambo, and everything in between. I think the top view is the only one I liked.

This whole deal is garbage.

$200K for a watch? To quote the lyrics from a song:

that's just some ignorant *****
I call that getting swindled and pimped
I call that getting tricked by a business

I don't know what's worse, a car that costs over a million dollars made by a no-name company or a watch that stickers at $250,000 made by a no-name company.

I can probably get an upcoming ZR1 which would lay waste to this POS and the best Patek Philippe they make for $400,000. At least the Veyron or the McLaren F1 feel special, this looks like a background car from Burnout:Paradise.

That would definitely explain why I'd love to see this thing plow straight into a concrete barrier at 120mph...

Oh yeah... and this guy doesn't like this car:

Yeah, in the race to show your wealth through luxury purchases, you'd show them how it's done..

Awesome. I want your job/bonus. The upcoming Z06/ZR1 will be an awesome car based on what the base C7 is like.

so when you crash, can the front end turn into a motorcycle?

Meh hyper cars bore me, actually super cars bore me too, pretty much any status symbol bores me; maybe if I could afford one it wouldn't bore me as much, but even then, I'm a cheap SOB.

Watch looks a wee bit steam punk to me, but at that price, who can resist?

TIL people will buy watches that cost as much as my 3BR house thats sitting on 2 acres and has a two car attached garage.

Edit: well played Calamity Jesus, I would like to give you five internets for your contribution to this conversation

I drive a 2005 Legacy GT with the JDM dual-climate control kit. So I know luxury and wealth when I see it.

Everyone needs to stop piling on me before I buy NASIOC and put down the banhammer.

Things to do after buying NASIOC

1. Banhammer calamity
2. Start new forum on fruit and vegetable preserves
