Default 2012 Keyless Entry Issue

Anyone having issues with the unlock button not working on their key? I've been having some issues with it intermittently not working on occasion. I've gone as far as taking the key apart and cleaning out some lint, dust, etc. that got inside the key 'shell', which appeared to help at first, but not for the long haul. Sometimes I can get it to work after clicking the lock button then the unlock, but not always. Had to use the key a few times, which has then set off the panic feature when I've opened the door. Am I chasing a glitch, issue, or dealing with mysterious gremlins here? Figured I'd ask here before taking it to the dealer, so I have a better idea of what might be the issue. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

+1.

My garage door opener starts doing the same thing when the battery starts getting low. If you have not already, change it. It is cheap. If the trouble persists, then I would contact the dealer.

Another thought, have you tried using the other key for a few days to see if that one works ok?

Took the key apart last night, cleaned everything up, put it back together, and it worked like it should. Then had more trouble today. Lock usually works fine, but unlock is tempermental. Not a temperature issue, as I had the same thing happen in the middle of summer. Considering I haven't had the car for even a year yet, I doubt it's the battery. But worth the check to rule that out. Likely will have to deal with it the next time I'm at the dealer. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
