Not according to how vision.dynamix said it should be.

I want to see the back of the lamp with the cover for the high beam pulled back. Lets chase these wires from plug to bulb.

Guess I'll know for sure next week when the FedEx guy drops them off. :-)

I don't think the issue is with the bulb wiring. I think it's the signal plug that is wired wrong.

I agree it's the connector itself that doesn't match the OEM wiring, but seeing exactly what goes where will make it easier for those of us that want low beam on with high beam, using HID low and halogen high.

for $370 I don't think it's that great of a deal. By the time you end up upgrading components, they will cost as much as the real thing.

Well I was lucky enough to find damaged black chromes (HID) JDMs for 350$ including ballasts and leveling motors switch. I repaired them with jbweld.

I dont think I would have ever paid 600$+ for a jdm pair to hack and retro them like I did. But at that price (the depo) it kinds of make sense, but at the same time it is not really that much of a deal.

It will be interesting to see how they are made on the inside and see if they are easy to work on, do they give more room for larger projectors. On mine there was not much meat left on the projector bracket once I was done installing the rx350bx.

I wired my jdm low beam to be on all the time except when switch is to off and handbrake pulled. I used the common positive (middle wire) of the 9007 connector to trigge my low beam relay feeding the ballasts. High beam is simply another relay triggered by the high beam switched ground and common positive.

Does it look to you like they are 3 inch lenses? Or do they use smaller lenses than the jdms?

heres a link to them on ebay. i actually just bought a blacked out pair of Depo lights (pair from amazon for $134) because my old ebay blacked out ones were cracked from a fenderbender and hazed over a little. i must admit, the Depo ones are almost perfectly identical to the stockers. the other ebay brands are a little different in terms of their wiring and or back pieces that hold the bulbs. the generic ebay ones fit and work fine, but i specifically wanted an as closest to stock i could get in terms of quality. the Depo branded ones are definitely the way to go. unfortunately i never saw these before, wish i couldve got them, they look awesome.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-02-03-S...a80090&vxp=mtr

it says they are 9005 low beams, H1 high beams and include the PnP 9007 connector

Just bought one with HID kit they offered for little more. I was going to pull trigger with JDM headlights but one i v found was too beat the **** up.

I will do reviews once those comes in. I do not expect too much from their HID kit but i specified for 6000k instead of 8000k -_-

so to sum it up,

high beam - h1 need to buy for high beam
side marker - bugeye stock?
low beam- 9007 or 9007 hid?
turn signal - i kinda want it orange or yellow but i wonder what they use. can we reuse stock?

and reverse pin for red and green at 9007 connector?

I'm interested in some pics and reviews as well. If they have a 4300k HID kit that works well out of the box without any retrofitting, I would be all over that. Otherwise, I'm ok with a good set of halogens too.

For the price of the HID's........ it's getting close to the same price as picking up a set of authentic JDM HID's. I also don't like the way they did the reflector around the projector, the seam is awful. Best ebay headlight ever though, if the real ones were still selling at $1k this would have been a steal, they are just a few years late to the party.

Regarding being late to the party, I think until recently thete was no much choices for bugeyes, either usdm replicas or ugly ebay style.

Recently with the usdm retrofitted look ones ans the other projector with LEDs, maybe they saw they would lose market and released the nicer headlight that should outsell the other questionable looking projector headlights that are not that much cheaper than the replica jdm.

And if we cant really agree if the price is good or not so good I guess they made a good job at evaluating how much people are ready to pay for these.

I guess we will soon see thread from people saying they have xyz problem with their "JDM" hid headlights they thought genuine when in fact they have replica halogen projectors with a H1 PnP kit in. But at the same time we should see less people running jdm without modding the shields, which is a good thing.

I meant they were late to the party regarding price. With the authentic lights costing $100-150 more, these replicas are overpriced IMO. Had they come out a few years ago when the real lights were fetching $800-1000 it would be a great deal.

Used, who on earth would pay the ludicrous price for new ones??

I bought a set of black HID's for $550 and a set of chromes for $450. There are some great deals out there if you know where to look. On average they are $600

No, majority of the used JDM's are taken off of wrecked STi's. All of these used JDM's were not purchased new separate from the vehicle.
