V1 Cobb AP question. HELP!

This ap is already unmarried from my car. A buddy is wanting to use it on his wrx, but is trying to avoid having someone tune it. He wants to download a map online and put that on his car. (He's experienced in doing so) I'm wanting to know if this is possible with the V1? Is there any disc/software required to do so? I do not have such items. All help is greatly appreciated.

If it makes you feel any better we're actually swapping for some garage/tool time while he helps install my coilovers. Since I have no immediate access to one.
