Default Rubber Seats needed/upgrade?

So I was looking at old threads, and nothing has been posted for some time about the rubber seats of the front and rear suspension. I've been doing a clunk track down on my 02 wrx with Tokico/RCE's and traced it back to the endlinks. During the hunt Greg at TiC noted I had not installed the rubber seats, which I lost long ago when I first put Prodrive lowering springs on my 02 wrx back in 2001. I am wondering what you guys think about the need for then, or if there was another option that was possible a bit stiffer and prevented the metal on metal set-up I have now? Any help of advice would be awesome.

Dave

I put them on both the top and bottom. I bought them off Amazon. I think they were Goodrich products.

Really top and bottom? Did you drive it before you put them on? Any big difference?

I never really tested before and after. I have no strange noises coming from the shocks though. The parts were cheap so I thought I should just do it.

Here is the one I bought for the lower. I used them on STi springs. I think I used my original WRX insulators for the top.
