the 2.0 heads are garbage, anyway
and ya gonna want to NOT reuse the oil cooler EVER....that is a bad way to kill a new rebuilt motor

my advice.....

sell the whole thing and get an evo and never look back

i made the same mistake he did with the mobil 1 syn 5w30 my question is
whould u recoment useing castrol 5w50 synthetic oil and qstate oil filter

i would not recommend any 5w30 oil and there are only a VERY few oil filters that meed the proper spec for subaru

qstate filters arent one

The previous owner of my car ran 5W30 M1 for 30k or so. I was mortified when I found out and immediately filled it with T6. PS I would use the OEM filter.

I dont get y people continue to run this oil on turboed subies. Does it say to run "Mobil 1 5w30" on the owners manual? Im confused.. Not even on my n/a 2.5 rs did i run a 30w oil.
Its as if a doctor were to tell u 'stay away from this type of food your allergic to it', and u still go ahead and use it. Plus its kinda pricey.

I totally agree.... These lil kiddie bois like Scotty says are soo under educated it's not even funny

They have no freakin idea what spec these new oils are at and what those specs mean. I mean how many people have wasted subaru engines due to stupid piece of garbage M1 5w30 or other 5w30 oils... way too many...... Most people won't listen because they "think" they know, but they really "don't" know jack about jack...

I have been seeing too many 05-07 NA impreza 2.5 engines blowing up because of piece of trash 5w30 oils like M1 5w30 and castrol full synthetic 5w30 and other cheap synthetic 5w30 oils.

Any way, Curtis, don't use anything 5w30 in this engine please, ok M1 0w40 or Rotella T-6 5w40 will suite your engine well.

I need my restrictor pill (confused about where it went). I am only getting about .06-.07 Mpa, so it will be nice to get that stupid little part. Subaru dealer where I live doesn't even have them in stock, but it should be in today or tomorrow. I wanted to wait for the dealer to get it so I don't pay 10.63 shipping on a 1.63 part....my new clutch is chattering a little, I think it's from the lightweight flywheel.

lol other than that the only problem I currently have is a bad door sensor that keeps setting my alarm off...if that is the worst of it then fine by me.

I put in T6.........for now
