Default Megan Racing OE-RS 08+ CBE WRX(5dr) thoughts?

Megan Racing OE-RS 08+ WRX(5dr) Cat back Exhaust
"Megan Racing OE-RS series cat backs are based on factory style, with bigger piping, OEM style polished mufflers and quiet sound. The cat back system is made stainless steel. All piping are mandrel bent with a high polished finish. Exhaust system comes with all the necessary hardware needed for a direct bolt on installation. Improves HP with minimal noise. Being constructed of T-304 Stainless Steel this durable piece will easily handle the elements and offer you years of performance. Backed with our one-year manufacturers warranty, you will rest assured with your sound investment - 5 Door only - 3"" piping, 4"" tip w/silencer"

Ok, tried using search here and a few other places but I can't find anything on this exhaust. (found several for the black one they had, and the older style N1 type that they had).

Has anyone picked this one up who could share some thoughts on it?

How loud is it with and without the silencer? Fitment? Use standard hanger locations? 4" tip have enough clearence to not burn the bumber? ect...

Thanks in advance.

I have this catback for the 08+ sedan. It sounds very deep and doesn't cost a lot, which is good. The only thing is, one muffler hangs about half an inch lower than the other so it isn't 100% even. I probably just need to get back under there and do a little more tweaking to get it even but I have been putting it off. I took it to an exhaust shop to see what they could say and they said they wouldn't be able to do it but I think they just didn't want to bother with it.

Either way, on the 5-door there's only one muffler and one tip so you wouldn't have the problem I'm having. If I can get my mufflers even, I would be 110% satisfied.

Just wanted to post some feedback on this exhaust for the 08-10 wrx hatch. I bought this piece recently used off a member. I am in love with it!! It is the best sounding exhaust out of all the exhausts I've had on. I almost gave up on having that boxer burble sedans and quad exhaust wrx's enjoy so easily.

I went from stock -> spt (1 year) -> turboxs (1 year) -> stock (1 year) -> megan.

Spt was too quiet and sounded whiny at high rpm. Turboxs sounded good and deep but it was also very LOUD, not to mention the muffler being rattly and the fit being not so good (when I reversed, it hit a heat shield until I used long exhaust hangers).

The Megan offers the deep throaty tone of the turboxs, combined with the quietness and fit of the spt. The install went without a hitch and it is a 3 inch system. It has a resonator in the mid pipe so there is no noise when you are not on the pedal. The highway drone is really similar to how I remember the spt exhaust.

Other notes: I have this joined to a cobb catted dp. I used the stock donut gasket and spring bolts; it didn't leak when I installed it.

I'll try and post a video when I get a chance since I know there aren't that many out there.

Hopefully this will be helpful to someone who is looking into this setup.
