Car stolen in Bloomfield - FOUND

Hey so some of you guys might know my car was stolen back in December.
2004 Black WRX

Just here to let everyone know that my car was found!!!

Found in Hillside NJ, in a guys driveway. Cops traced another car that was stolen that had Lo-Jack and found mine in the process. The car had NJ plates on it and they found a 3rd cars plates inside. Cops got a search warrant and raided the guys entire lot and my car was in perfect condition!

Engine still in, rims still on, even my ski rack was still on it. Only thing messed up was the ignition and they took my radio.

Guess I should invest in Lo-Jack

Congrats! People are jerks! Forgive this basic question but if a car is recovered like in your case, would the person who is convicted of stealing/damaging ordered by the court to pay for repairs or would your insurance cover it? The person who damaged it should be the one who pays.

Just curious... where do shops typically install Lo-Jack sensor/device? Is it all random so that thieves cannot find it?

As far as I know only the insurance would be the ones to pay for the damages. I figure if a person is doing something like stealing cars, the chances of them of even showing up to court is slim to none, nonetheless paying up !

That is correct. They usually have multiple install locations on the car. Every car has it installed differently and even the owner of the car does not know the location of the device.

What I don't know is how they install them on a motorcycle. Not much room to hide the device. haha
