Nobody tried to start anything with you. You suggested fraud and tried to justify it.

I like my STI a lot...I'm just a concerned owner, that's all.

That crappy tune is designed by people wiser than you to keep the car operating safetly within the tolerances of its parts. Mod a car all you want, don't be the kind of person who can't own up to their actions. No one can be proud of or respect that person.

They designed the crappy/lean tune so the car would pass emission regulations. Lean isn't safe. I definitely agree with the "pay to play" mindset.

As an engineer myself, I can't imagine Subaru engineers are putting out a product that they don't think is safe. They definitely know something we don't.

Sure you did, you're a Subaru leg humper...that's why.

This was a post about a Subaru dealership selling/installing Cobb tunes, and I simply stated to the OP NOT to buy the AP through the dealership and to install it on his own...and not forget to unmarry it before going back to the dealership for any warranty work (like the unit is designed to do).

I did not originally post to start a war, or to bash Subaru even...that didn't happen until the leg humpers got on my case for something 90%+ of people who buy a Cobb AP do. I even went as far as to say anything above Stage 1 shouldn't be covered.

So you advised fraud. I vote ban.

What's your point.

Are Subarus manufactured by Allah, and anyone with a particular concern with their "perfect" product shouldn't speak out about it...unless risk being labeled an "infidel"?

Like I said, my original intent was not to start a war, I simply trying to keep it "real" for the OP.

I can see why you would say this, since I made you get your panties all bunched up.

If this is the case, the Mods should then ban anyone who even mentions the Cobb AP, or any other aftermarket part that potentially could cause a deny of warranty by Subaru.

A part causing a denial of a warranty claim isn't an issue.

Attempting to cover up the previous state of your car (I.e. putting it back to stock) for warranty purposes is fraud, plain and simple.

I've gotta be the worst fanboy ever. I dislike most of their cars and I hate most of their owners.

So are you saying you and the rest of the Subaru leg humpers have never modded your past cars, and not returned them to stock before taking the car in for any type of warranty work...not even a CAI?

I'd find that hard to believe.

While you may find that hard to believe, you also cannot grasp that only 4-5% of active Subaru owners are on here. Having worked a dealer for many years, often cars came in with mods on them. There are ways to tell the car has been tinkered with, and tried to put back to "stock." Advising to put the car back to stock because of an aftermarket issue can be considered fraud. (And is considered such for sake of this website) All users who modify their vehicle must understand the risk, and not try to cheat the system. It's because of those people who do try to cheat it, and get caught, that warranty denials are going north. You think SOA isn't aware of this site? Isn't aware of the AP/Tactrix? You're a fool for thinking they are dumb.

Note you are the only member advising to revert back to stock, and throwing out "fan boi" or "leg humper." This is why the thread is being closed.
