Default PIAA Si-Tech wipers squeakig

I picked up my first set of silicone wipers and I got my first chance to use them tonight. I'm very happy with how they performed other than the squeaking.

Is this normal and will it go away?

I followed all the instructions for the installation.

The blade is making squeaking noises as it runs across the windshield you mean?

Clean the rubber part of the blade with rubbing alcohol, see if that helps.

Never had that problem with mine. They did come with a little sillycone towlet that I wiped down the windshield with.

Did you just install the blades?

Yes, squeaking as the blade runs across the windshield.

I'm hesitant to use rubbing alcohol as I've heard that can be damaging.

Cleaned the windshield with soap, rinsed, dried. Wiped down with towelette included with wipers. Waited 10min... Wiped down with clean cloth. Run wipers dry for 5 min.

FYI...

From the guys at PIAA

Quote:
It’s just best to wipe down the wipers with soap and water which will remove any grime from the rubber. This is usually the cause of the squeaking
Seems to have worked
