Default Chicagoland dealership for recall work?

So, while Mike O was a great guy to us on the sales side, I have had less than desirable dealings with the service center at Evanston Subaru. I really don't look forward to taking the car there, and would prefer to avoid it.

I got a recall notice for the spec.B relating to brake line corrosion that I need to get the car in for. Anyone know a service center that they trust to do things competently and actually pay attention?

I'm in Evanston, but would be willing to travel somewhere to deal with someone who I can feel confident in.

Naperville has been good to me so far. Joliet where I bought the car not so much.

roto in arlington heights. their subaru guy frank seems to know what he is doing. kim, their service director, and ron are very customer friendly. just make sure to ask them to not send your car through their free car scratch (wash) service.

Girlfriend lives practically across the street from Roto, but I had never heard anyone suggest them for anything before. Maybe I'll stop in and ask to talk to those two and get a feel.

Good to hear the recommendations for Naperville, I'll keep them as a backup option. That's a hell of a hike for me though.

Stock enough to not turn any heads, for sure. The recall is for a brake line coupler rusting, and definitely nothing but stock stuff there.

+1 for Frank at Roto. I've had my oil changed their every 3k for 8 years. I always get compliments about my mods, they could care less unless you blow up your car and expect it to be covered by the warranty. I could have done without the wash too, but it was a nice touch on a $20 oil change.

They did some warranty work for me way back when I had a warranty and seemed competent.

Gary Lang doesn't even have the parts yet available for this recall. I called Thursday after receiving the brake recall letter on Wednesday. Soonest they will have them is next Tuesday. Inspection is one hour, replacement if necessary is 4-5 hours.

I can't wait.
